Prince William Suffers From Social Anxiety

Well this certainly explains a lot. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William, who will one day be the next king of England, deals with the same awkwardness that a lot of other people deal with on a daily basis.

That’s because he is supposedly very self-conscious and full of social anxiety. This, despite the fact that he’s been in the spotlight his entire life. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Prince William is not the confident guy everyone thinks he is. Or at least, not as confident as a member of the royal family should be.

According to the Guardian, the Prince of Wales looked like he wanted to be anywhere but at the BAFTAs ceremony in London over the weekend.

He looked tense and upset at times and he supposedly looked like he was ready to go home at any given minute.

The publication even wrote, “A body language expert told me recently that King Charles is always playing with his cufflinks and Prince Harry is always buttoning the button that’s already buttoned. These are self-comforting moves to deal with social anxiety. But Prince William is off the scale, seeking comfort in rictus grin formations that most evolved humans don’t know how to activate any more, having last used them trying to make peace with a cheetah.”

Royal Family News – What’s Next For Prince William?

Yikes! Many critics have commented on the matter with: “They probably all are very socially awkward. They do ( or are supposed to do) events with the general public, but those events are heavily staged managed and the people are supposed to show them deference.” 

Another royal critic wrote, “Yes, they are all very socially awkward, which is why Harry is the most popular because he like his mother isn’t socially awkward.”

So far the Prince of Wales has not made any comments about the criticism that he’s received.
