Prince William has lately been taking a more central and leading role in the royal family in order to ease his grandmother, the Queen, of a few official burdens in light of her recent illness.
Prince William has been praised many times by commentators for his direct and “no-nonsense” approach to leadership and for his dedication to his family.
The Duke Of Cambridge Cuts Vacation Short To Support Ailing Queen
The 39-year-old Duke of Cambridge is preparing for his role as the future British monarch by “stepping up” and taking a more prominent role in the handling of the monarchy.
It was recently revealed that the Prince is overseeing the management of two vital royal estates, and, along with his wife Kate, is expected to build their public engagements and profile to support the Royal Family.
Queen Elizabeth the II is currently resting at Windsor Castle after falling so ill that she couldn’t make an engagement to Northern Ireland.
Royal expert Natalie Oliveri told the TODAY show: “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, George, Charlotte and Louis, were all seen at Heathrow airport on Thursday, they were coming back from a family holiday.
“Now they had arrived on Thursday, the same day Queen Elizabeth was discharged from hospital in London so many people are seeing that as rushing back to be by the Queen’s side.”
He continued by explaining that the royals maintain the Queen is absolutely fine and is recovering remarkably after spending the night at King Edward VII Hospital in London.
“So far, we aren’t being told there is any cause for alarm but Prince William is one of the royals really stepping up, taking charge of these royal duties.
“He apparently is taking charge of the Balmoral and Sandringham estates in the Queen’s absence, those were jobs that his grandfather Prince Philip would have done before his passing, so really William is preparing to be king one day of course after his father.”
Touching on the impacts of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s exit, he noted that it would put more weight on William’s shoulders as he tries to cover up their space. “There is a huge absence now left by Harry and Meghan too so the Cambridges really have to step up there.”

But the Cambridges aren’t only hard-pressed to cover up for the loss of the Sussexes, Prince Philip’s passing and Andrew’s reportedly “permanent” withdrawal from royal duties has meant that the pair has had to really step up.
The 95-year-old Monarch is currently resting per her medical team’s advice. She was previously supposed to make a high profile appearance in two weeks’ time with Prince Charles and Camilla, and Prince William and Kate, at the global climate conference Cop26. However, in light of her health, she would be making a video call instead.
