Royal Family News: Did Prince Harry And Meghan Reject A Title For Archie?
British royal family news shows there was a ton of speculation about what if any title Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children would receive from Queen Elizabeth. Never mind the fact that the two characters deserted the monarchy for America and called his family all sorts of mocking and damaging names. In the end they made it very clear a proposed title was not good enough for them and that was the end of it. Let’s unpack what went down.
Royal Family News – The Markle’s Rejected A Title For Archie
Royal expert Andrew Morton told Us Weekly, “[Archie] could have taken the title [of] the Earl of Dumbarton, which is an honorary title, but [Harry and Meghan] decided against that because they felt that the word ‘dumb’ in the word ‘Dumbarton’ would have been used as mockery when Archie went to school.” That is a whole lot of projecting about their son, his peers and about the future. As if they have a crystal ball. It also sounds stupid, over sensitive and tone deaf.
He made his comment during promoting the re-release of his book Meghan and the Unmasking of the Monarchy: A Hollywood Princess book.

Morton added that this childish type of juvenile thinking (if it can even be called cognition) runs rampant between the two of them. “And again, it shows you their sensitivity to image. Which is something, you know, somebody was saying to me [that] the other day that they contacted team Sussex and the first question [the Sussexes] asked was ‘What pictures are you using?’ And that person thought, ‘That’s everything you need to know about the Sussexes.’”

Royal Family News – The Markle’s Have A Funny Sense Of Humor
Morton explained that the couple made it “perfectly clear” that they didn’t want Archie to have a title. He went on to say, “Then we get into the whole business of whether or not a member of the Royal family talked about the color of the skin of Archie, whether that was graduated, the darker the skin, the less the protection and the less likely of getting a title,” Morton said. “There was, as they both were well aware of, no chance of getting a title until Prince Charles takes over because they’re only given the title of prince or princess [as] the son or grandson of the reigning sovereign and Archie was a great-grandson of the reigning sovereign.”
