Queen Camilla Accepts Dance Lessons She’s Strictly Come Dancing’s Greatest Fan

The Queen’s jubilee year could have rounded out with a big ol dance party at Buckingham Palace’s Ballroom by the “Strictly” team but for the fact she died months after celebrating said Platinum Jubilee.

At the time, it was announced that Camilla was really invested in making it happen because she was a “Strictly” super fan. Perhaps we might still get “Strictly Come Dancing” happening live at Buckingham Palace’s massive ballroom. Who knows?

Queen Camilla Receives Special Tap Dancing Shoes By “Strictly Come Dancing” Pro Johannes Radebe

Queen Camilla is more than happy to accept an invitation for dance classes with the “Strictly” team. During her latest outing, the 76-year-old royal was presented with a special set of bronze tap dancing shoes by Strictly pro Johannes Radebe.

“We watch it,” she told the crew, adding, “I’m one of Strictly’s greatest fans.”

When she was invited to receive some dance classes from Johannes, also known as Jojo, she happily accepted, saying, “I will be there. I will be there. I’ll come. Definitely.”

As for the shoes, she promised to put them to good use, “I’d love to do it because I have always wanted to tap dance,” she said. “In my dotage it’s perhaps something I could take up.”

Apart from watching the show, Camilla has also made a guest appearance on it. During the segment, she watched Jojo, 36, and former “Love Island” contestant Tasha Ghouri, 25, teach tap and the cha-cha-cha to a Royal Voluntary Service beginners class at a community centre in Cambridge.

She said: “Having seen everybody here dancing away happily, it’s the best exercise and it’s, you know, for everybody. It’s a wonderful way of just enjoying yourself.”

Camilla has stepped up her engagement meter after King Charles, Princess Kate and Prince William were forced to take breaks from royal duties for various reasons; Charles and Kate for health reasons and William to be by Kate’s side as she recovers.

However, it’s understood that the Prince of Wales will be returning to work soon as Kate’s health is greatly improving.
