Is Queen Camilla urging King Charles to step down from the throne? That’s what a lot of royal fans can’t help but wonder.

Seeing how the King of England has been diagnosed with cancer, his wife Camilla supposedly believes that he should put his own health and his own needs ahead of everyone else’s, even if that means he has to abdicate from the throne. King Charles is toying with the idea of passing on the crown to his son, Prince William, earlier than expected.

One source close to the situation even told In Touch Weekly, “The idea that he won’t get to make his mark as king is a hard pill to swallow. She’s urged him to let it go and enjoy their golden years. It also helps that Charles has a lot of confidence in William and Kate, and in the end, he’s doing what’s best for the monarchy. So he can feel proud knowing he’s done his job well.”

Not only that, but the source also says that even though King Charles has waited his entire life for the job, he does believe that Prince William would do a good job if he were given the throne. It’s just a matter of when and how it will all be done.

Royal Family News – What’s Next For The King Of England?

The insider added, “Charles is definitely impressed by how easily William has filled his shoes. Charles can’t help but consider stepping down instead, for the sake of the monarchy. William and Kate will be crowned king and queen much sooner than anyone expected.”

So far Buckingham Palace has made no comments about the matter, although at this point it’s doubtful that anything will be said.

      There is no King of England but there is a King of the United Kingdom (UK). If you print a story not knowing the difference puts your integrity as a journalist in doubt

      I believe that within a year, he could very well step down. Depending on what type of Cancer and the type of treatment he is given. I don t know anything about the method of herbs treatment but Chemo saps your energy. But I Pray he ‘ll be cured and his reign can continue.

      I truly hope that King Charles does well with treatment and is able to remain on as King. Of course, if he is not able to because the treatment for cancer has just been too much on his body, I am sure William is very capable to fill the position, whether it be on a temporary or permanent basis. After all, this is what Queen Elizabeth and King Charles have been doing for years — training William for this position. Right now we do not know what type of cancer and/or treatment the King is receiving. I think we should just keep him in our prayers and leave this family alone with speculations and rumors.
