British royal family news divulges that there could be tension between normally placid Kate Middleton and her doting mom Carole Middleton. OK! Magazine reports that the mother and daughter had a tense tiff over her home life and that the pot had been boiling for some time before it spilled over.

A source told the outlet that Kate and Carole had been rumbling about domestic issues and at this point they haven’t talked to each other in about three months. Here we break down what this issue could be all about.

The insider spilled that Kate finally pushed back against her mom’s pushiness and told her to chill, “after the pandemic made her realize just how involved Carole was in her home life.”

Apparently as the pandemic set in and restrictions were put in place, “Kate got to spend more time with her kids without any assistance from Carole,” according to GeoTV. The source said, “Kate embraced every minute of it and realized she can do without her bossy mother trying to take over.” To be fair, it was rumored and reported on in the past that Kate’s father-in-law Prince Charles had beef with Carole over her “territorialness” especially concerning their mutual grandchildren.

According to the insider, Carole had a habit of coming over to Kate and William’s residence unannounced to just hang out. “Kate would be in the middle of a Zoom call or home-schooling the kids, and it would be Carole with a suitcase expecting to stay over. She’d walk into the house like she owned the place and try to take over the home-schooling and tell Kate how to dress the kids.” Oh my. This is not good.

Royal Family News – Would Carole Interfere In Kate’s Life?

Prince William has gushed about how much he loves and respects Kate’s parents, but if the source is correct, even he found Carole’s intrusions a bit much. Carole’s behavior ticked off William as well as Kate: “She’d walk into the house like she owned the place and try to take over… and tell Kate how to dress the kids… It irritated William to no end.” To be fair this example, if true, goes to show that while the royals may be regal they are still human, and face many of the same day to day family irritations as the rest of us.

The source spilled, Prince William also, “did not want his mother-in-law there at night after the kids were put to bed because it is the only quality time he gets to spend with his wife.”
