Royal Family News: Meghan And Harry’s “Damaged Backgrounds” Responsible For Bad Marriage?

British royal family news shows that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry come from “broken homes” and one expert is pontificating on what that could mean for their marriage. The royal runaways tied the knot in 2018 and are now the proud parents of two lovely children, Archie and Lilibet.

Yet one royal expert thinks that the Duchess and Duke could be in trouble since they come from “damaged backgrounds.”

Royal Family News: The Markles In Danger?

Harry’s parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, divorced in the 1990s. They had an acrimonious divorce and before that an acrimonious marriage with claims of infidelity and Diana questioning Charles’ fitness to be king. Diana’s tell-all interviews are the stuff of legend and sadly she passed away in 1997 in a car accident.

Meghan’s parents, Thomas Markle Sr. and Doria Ragland, divorced when she was still in elementary school and took turns raising her. According to MSN, in her book ‘Meghan and Harry: The Real Story’ Lady Colin Campbell claims that “Meghan spent a lot of time dealing with their differences and relaying communications between them.”

And, according to royal expert Angela Levin, Meghan and Harry’s experiences with divorced parents could mean “negativity” for their own marriage. In contrast, Prince William’s wife, Princess Catherine, came from an intact family.

Levin told Express “Children of broken homes, especially if the parental break up was unpleasant, often don’t know how a good relationship works. “William learnt through the Middletons how a loving and supportive family works. It has been the bedrock of making Kate loving, calm and confident.”

Levin added, “Harry hasn’t had that parental opportunity. His background has just been of bitter fighting and incompatibility. Both he and Meghan come from very damaged backgrounds and must carry with them some of the negativity. It must be hard for them to help each other and lack experience in how stable, strong, understanding relationships work.”
