British royal family news reveals that Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex’s friend Priyanka Chopra was actually in the Royal Box at Wimbledon but didn’t acknowledge Prince William and Kate Middleton when they arrived. Was it poor manners or simply the need to tend to a wardrobe malfunction?

After the apparent snub royal watchers suggested the ill-mannered behavior was influenced by Meghan Markle’s dirty laundry comments about Kate during the infamous Oprah Winfrey interview.

Meghan claimed her Kate made her cry ahead of her wedding to Prince Harry, and Meghan used a bullying name–Waity Katey—to refer to her SIL.

Maybe it’s possible that the actress didn’t see the Cambridges enter the Royal Box? Hard to imagine that. Perhaps she was ignorant about the proper etiquette to applaud the couple’s arrival? Or, was it as simple that her abstaining from doing what all around her were doing was intentional?

About Chopra’s behavior, one person tweeted, “I’m actually in disbelief about such a lack of manners and upbringing,” while another tweeted, “The way Priyanka did not even look in their direction is enough for me.”

To give context to the story, Meghan Markle and Chopra have been friends since 2016 after meeting at an ELLE Women in Television dinner.

Meghan later told Press Trust of India she was tickled that Chopra gushed about her work: “You know when you meet someone and you just click? It was just an easy, natural progression.”

Chopra was a guest at her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, but Meghan didn’t attend her wedding to Nick Jonas and Chopra did not attend Meghan’s baby shower, prompting rumors of a feud.

Meghan did not address these rumors but Chopra insisted they were not true. Despite the rumored feud Chopra has fan girled over Meghan with the former writing about the latter’s specialness for Time.
