Royal Family News: Millionaire Meghan Markle Offers Coffee To The Unemployed

British royal family news shows that PR loving Meghan Markle bought a few cups of coffee, “for employees working overtime to campaign for paid family and medical leave in the US after writing to politicians pleading for it to be made a ‘national right.’”

According to the Daily Mail, “The Duchess of Sussex gifted workers at PL+US, a group running a national campaign to win paid family and medical leave by 2022, a $25 Starbucks voucher through her non-profit Archewell.”

It comes on the heels of her being mocked for trying to use her husband’s title to impress in a letter to Congress.

“Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex,” wrote that, “millions of women,” have been forced to drop out of the workforce to look after their children: “If we’re going to create a new era of family-first policies, let’s make sure that includes a strong paid leave program for every American that’s guaranteed, accessible, and encouraged without stigma or penalty.”

Now she’s raising up the unemployed by getting them coffee. Priceless, tone deaf, Meghan.

Neil Sroka, the director of communications for the group, tweeted he thought she was, “Unbelievably classy… and necessary. Truly honored to know she has our backs in the fight to win.”

Not everyone was as charitable as Neil, others called out Meghan for the publicity stunt, with one writing, “I donated 10 to the local homeless charity. Can I get publicity for myself?” and another posting, “Shut up and fade away. You are entitled, narcissistic and irrelevant. Unqualified to advocate any pressing social issue. Just enjoy your wealth, your second rate spouse and children.”

Meghan’s 1,030-word letter, “asked the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi and the Majority Leader in the US Senate Chuck Schumer, both Democrats, to consider her plea ‘on behalf of my family, Archie and Lili and Harry.”
