British royal family news shows that the hot mess Prince Harry has made by throwing his royal family under the bus is a volcanic talking point. Everyone it seems has an opinion about how he and wife Meghan Markle have gone out of their way, with the help of famous friends, to tarnish the image of the monarchy and his family members.

Now one royal insider is spilling the beans on how one of Harry’s family members is dealing with the crisis situation.

Stewart Pearce was a voice coach for Charles’ first wife, the late Princess Diana. He, like the rest of the world, has heard and seen Harry go to extraordinary lengths to bad mouth his father and other family members. Most recently he called him an especially poor example of a parent, crowing that he is far superior with all of two years of parenting experience under his belt.

How has Charles handled his son’s unwelcome public tirades? Like the rest of the royals, he has taken the high road. But Pearce claims that Prince Charles has had a particularly hard time with his roasting, which was captured in a couple of salacious interviews with Oprah Winfrey, because of his emotional state.

Pearce points to the fact that Charles is “immensely sensitive.” He told Us Weekly that, “Prince Charles is a very, very shy man, a very sensitive and delicate man, but we see his public personality, but in private, he’s immensely sensitive.”

The former insider intimated that “when we’re sensitive if we’re dealing with very strong, combustible emotion on the outside of us,” we can react with immense feeling.

He claims that when Princess Diana accused him of having an affair with Camilla Parker Bowles, “what he did was to shrink back and as a result of that became an aloof. Well, that doesn’t heal the challenge that’s taking place.”

Pearce said that Charles’ distanced reaction to Harry’s “truth bombs” resembles his response to the crumbling of his marriage, which indicates to him that Charles is reverting to old habits. He affirmed that when reports came out that Meghan and Harry were “troubled” by the “lapse of contact” with Charles, he figured it was true since that’s, “what Charles does.”

Pearce noted, “He can’t deal with it because of his sensitivity, so he hides. And what Harry’s trying to do is to heal that. Not out of umbrage, not out of anger or revenge or criticism or accusation…I felt that he was just somebody saying, ‘This is the way that it is, and this is why we want to make a change.’”

To be fair to Charles however, shrinking back from broad public humiliation at the hands of your own son is a perfectly normal response given the circumstance.
