Maybe the royal kids should just sit this one out. There’s a new report that suggests Prince William and Kate Middelton might actually have their children, and especially their eldest son Prince George, sit out King Charles’ Coronation in May simply because they think that the entire day might overwhelm them. And they might not be wrong about that, either. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News – Prince George Might Feel Too Overwhelmed At King Charles Coronation, According to Royal Expert
There’s a new report that suggests the Prince and Princess of Wales are worried that even though Prince George does have a minor role in the ceremony, he might end up getting scrutinized by the press.
After all, as a future king of England, all eyes are going to be on him as he will one day follow in the footsteps of his father, Prince William, and his grandfather, King Charles. But if King Charles does insist on having George there, William and Kate want to make sure that his role remains very small.
Royal editor Roya Nikkhah even put it this way, “They are very keen. If George does have an official role, it will be quite low-key. They do not want him to be overwhelmed by the attention. But he may play a smaller official role.”

With that said, it looks like Camilla Parker Bowles’ grandchildren are expected to attend the Coronation. However, if there are going to be two royal children who most likely won’t attend the ceremony, it will be Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s two kids, Archie and Lilibet.
Chances are the Sussexes are going to sit this one out altogether, as they probably don’t want to face any of their royal family members right now, and with good cause, too. So far Harry and Meghan have not made any comments about their travel plans, how have William and Kate said anything about their children’s role in the upcoming Coronation. Watch this space.
