Royal Family News: Prince Harry And Meghan Must Prove Their Marketability To Money Hungry Hollywood

British royal family news reveals that Harry and Meghan’s marketability is at a critical juncture three years after leaving the UK for Hollywood. Neither party has been seen in the company of an A-lister in months, not since they trashed their reputations by airing royal family dirty laundry.

So is the real reason Prince Harry is attending his father’s Coronation next month so that he can revive his fading star? That is exactly the reason some experts think he has agreed to fly to the UK while Meghan remains in California.

A Disney exec sniffed: “The danger Harry and Meghan face is becoming irrelevant. Americans care about the Royal Family. We’ve always been fascinated by the Royals … But the American public needs to see he’s still part of the family because his family and their drama is what we’re interested in.”

Royal Family News: Harry’s Star is Fading

A Netflix source told the Daily Mail: “Harry is going back for all the right reasons but there was a palpable sigh of relief among those of us involved in the business because Brand Sussex relies on Harry being seen with his family.”

Harry is expected to be at the Coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on the morning of May 6 but not have a formal role nor participate in any official events. He is now a non-working member of the royal family and has been relegated to the sidelines after three years of trash talking his family and the monarchy.

Instead of accompanying her husband to the biggest global event of 2023, “Meghan will spend May 6 hosting son Archie’s fourth birthday at the couple’s £11.75 million Montecito mansion, and Harry is determined to return home in order to enjoy the celebrations later in the day – a plan that the time difference of eight hours should make possible.” Plus he will no doubt fly private, polluting the friendly skies he professes to love so much.

As indicated by the Netflix source’s dish, Hollywood wants the couple to be more visible if they are to throw money at them. The couple signed a multimillion dollar deal with Netflix in 2020 and have done virtually nothing to earn their money. They have also failed to deliver on big deals with the publisher Penguin Random House and with podcast giant Spotify.

An insider at Walt Disney Studios told The MoS, “What Harry and Meghan do next is the $64,000 question everyone in Hollywood is asking. Harry has to be there [at the Coronation]. In America, this is all part of the narrative. Harry has to go back and he’s either embraced, which is wonderful, or he’s not – which will keep the narrative going. The story has to keep evolving because that is what builds the brand and brings the offers in.”
