Royal News: Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer

Princess Diana’s younger brother is Charles Spencer, 9th Earl Spencer, and a godson of the late Queen. Today the 59-year-old author and broadcaster “is head of the Spencer family and custodian of the family seat.”

According to the Daily Mail, he became a household name “when he delivered the eulogy at his sister Diana’s 1997 funeral at Westminster Abbey.”

The speech was peppered with digs at the Royal Family for their alleged mistreatment of Diana and he pledged to protect his nephews Princes William and Harry.

At the time his words drew applause from the audience and William and Harry joined in. To date the Earl has been married three times and with his first wife, Victoria Lockwood, he has four children including twins Lady Eliza and Lady Amelia.

Lady Amelia married lifestyle coach Greg Mallett this May 2023 and Eliza’s long-term boyfriend is marketing executive Channing Millerd. Of her sister she said “We love doing the same things and share the same friends. You’re guaranteed to have a best friend there always – you can’t really compare it to anything else.”

Royal Family News: Lady Kitty Spencer

The twins’ older sister Lady Kitty who is also used to being in the spotlight: she was once described as Britain’s most eligible woman by Tatler. In 2021, the model married South African tycoon Michael Lewis, 64, in an epic three-day Italian wedding.

Royal Family News: Lady Sarah McCorquodale

Lady Sarah McCorquodale is the oldest of Princess Diana’s sisters. Fun fact: she, too, dated Prince Charles—yikes.
Sarah has three children Emily, George, and Celia, and six grandchildren and she sometimes served Diana as a lady-in-waiting.

According to the outlet she is “devoted to her two nephews.” She was among the guests at the christening of Harry’s son Archie in 2019, in 2021 she was invited by the boys to be present at the unveiling of a statue in honor of her sister.

While it seems that several members of Prince Harry’s family on his mother’s side are quite fond of the spotlight, he and his wife Meghan Markle have shunned the limelight and are on their Worldwide Privacy Tour.
