British Royal News says that if there’s anything that we’ve learned, it’s that mother always knows best, right? Well, that might be the case with the British Royal Family as there’s a new report that suggests Princess Diana believed a long time ago that her younger son Prince Harry would have been better equipped to become king of England than his older brother, Prince William. Here’s what you need to know.
Royal Family News – Princess Diana Believed Prince Harry Would Have Made A Better King Than Prince William
While it was William who was born the heir and Harry as the spare, Diana believed that it was Harry who would have done a better job as the head of the monarchy.
Apparently, she saw some signs that suggested Harry was more at ease with the public than William ever was or would be. At least that’s what royal expert Charles Rae says.
In a new interview with Slingo, Rae put it this way, “Diana dubbed Harry GKH (Good King Harry) because she thought he would have been better equipped for the role as a future king.”

Diana even called Harry ‘GKH’ (Good King Harry) to make him feel extra special, knowing that he would always be in the shadow of his older brother. Meanwhile, Rae also opened up about the time that Diana found out about the secret nicknames that her then-husband Prince Charles had with his mistress, Camilla Parker Bowles. The two called each other “Fred” and “Gladys” before Charles and Diana got married.
The royal commentator said, “They chose them from characters in The Goon Show, of which they are both fans. Princess Diana also found jewelry engraved with the initials, F and G, of the pair’s secret nicknames. Diana revealed finding the jewelry in Andrew Morton’s book, Diana: Her True Story.”
So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments, but it’s doubtful that they will.
