British royal family news has some surprising dish about the UK’s favorite royal couple, Prince William and Princess Kate. Kate has been in the spotlight this week as she makes the rounds promoting her early childhood development program, including a stint at BAFTA in London on Monday.
She was papp snapped looking resplendent in a gorgeous fire red pants suit, with William at her side. Something about this picture seemed off to body language expert Darren Stanton however. Keep reading to discover what caught his eye about this tableau.
Royal Family News – Kate Is Charming The Public
Darren Stanton told Marie Claire: “Some notable photographs showed William with his hand on Kate’s back while they were walking.” This is not particularly abnormal, as many happy couples will attest to. Stanton went on to say, “Although William has indeed developed and adopted a far greater level of self-assurance over the years, he is not as confident as Kate.
I noticed every now and again that he almost needs a little jolt of energy, which could be a small gesture or signal towards his wife.” To be fair, being followed by packs of photogs is not normal, but the Wales’ have seemed to compensate very well.

The expert also discussed the couple’s subtle public costume differences: “William also tends to wear dark colours in an attempt to blend into his surroundings, whereas Kate usually goes for brighter colours. This demonstrates that she wants to stand out and be available to her subjects, while William is happy to take a step back.”
He added, “Kate is most definitely taking the lead out of the royal couple. She’s very often seen walking on her own and not waiting for William. This is not a sign of disrespect or discourtesy, as she knows he will be behind her.”
