British royal family news divulges that Kate, Princess of Wales stunned the world tonight when she opened the Eurovision finale with a moving piano performance dedicated to Ukraine. The royal, who will one day be queen, played piano with last year’s Ukrainian winners, the Kalush Orchestra.
Kate wowed fans who tuned in worldwide to the tune (see that) of around 160 million viewers with her appearance on the BBC show a top-secret get.
In the end, out of 26 acts, Sweden won the coveted glass microphone trophy.
Royal Family News: Princess Kate Pitch Perfect
Kate was not the only luminary to delight Eurovision viewers on Saturday, as composer Andrew Lloyd Webber also performed in a cameo spot which had been previously recorded.
The popular annual song contest grand finale was held at Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena and Kate appeared virtually from Windsor Castle in a pre-recorded segment.

Kate looked stunning as usual in a one-shouldered Jenny Packham gown in a shade of blue that matched the Ukrainian flag. Two years running Kate has held a Christmas carols concert in which she plays piano, one of her many talents.

Social media erupted at the sight of Kate and Andrew appearing on Eurovision with one person tweeting, “Real surprise in the intro of #Eurovision with Kate Middleton playing the piano.” Another fan wrote “I did not have Andrew Lloyd Webber and the Princess of Wales on my #Eurovision cameo bingo card.”
A third poster commented, “Respect, Andrew Lloyd Webber,” and other tweeted, “Always keeps it classy, well done.”
Royal Family News: Kate Future UK Queen
The show was hosted by Graham Norton, Hannah Waddingham, Alesha Dixon and Ukrainian rock star Julia Sanina.
Kate’s endearing appearance follows on the heels of King Charles’ coronation May 6 at Westminster Abbey. Kate, and her husband William and son George who each will one day be monarch, played key roles in the historic ceremony.
Today the Wales family also posted a sweet video of the family of five as they prepared for the coronation. All in all the future looks bright for the family as well as for the country that will one day celebrate them with their own coronations.
