Royal Family News: The Hidden Message In Princess Charlotte’s Wimbledon Dress

British royal family news reveals that Princess Charlotte reached another royal milestone on Sunday when she attended Wimbledon for the first time. She was in good company, as her older brother Prince George tagged along, as well as their parents Princess Kate, Prince William.

The family gathered at centre court to take in the men’s finals match between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic. And eagle-eyed fans spotted what they think could have been a silent sign of respect for a visiting royal!

According to Hello! the young royal was in a lovely blue dress made by the Spanish brand Friki. Coincidently, Alcaraz is from Spain and King Felipe was in attendance to cheer him on.

All of these connections led a Twitter fan to comment that Charlotte’s dress was a subtle nod to show respect for the king of Spain. There might be something to that thought, as the Wales’ children’s nanny is Maria Borello of Spain.
The Twitter user wrote: “A Spanish dress from Maria to honour Felipe” perhaps indicating Maria had purchased the dress for the Princess.

At one point King Felipe and the UK royals engaged in conversation and he made it a point to bend down to talk to Charlotte personally. This set off another social media blitz on Instagram with one fan writing “Awww King Felipe catching up with Catherine and Princess Charlotte,” and someone else noted “Look at Charlotte’s face when talking to a king. She’s a born queen.”

Charlotte’s parents decided to leave their youngest child Louis, out of the action, and perhaps next year he will make his Wimbledon debut. But today it was Charlote’s reactions that delighted royal fans.

Throughout the match her face mirrored her emotions, expressing happiness, exasperation and everything in between. In that way she mimicked her mom who is an avid sports fan.

Charlotte wasn’t the only royal delighting the fans however. There was plenty of praise online for Prince George with one person tweeting “Prince George’s confidence is shining through,” and another commenting “Prince George transitioning from boy to young man. He’s going to be a heartbreaker! Those Wales genes.” George also made news this week when a royal insider claimed that his parents would not require him to serve in the military, a long-standing royal tradition.
