That’s because the Clooneys are indeed very close with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and the rest of the monarchy. So much so that The Prince’s Trust has decided to launch a new award in Amal’s name. Here’s what you need to know.

There’s a new report that says the Prince’s Trust International has just launched a new global award celebrating achievements of inspirational young women around the world. Named for George Clooney’s wife, one lucky winner will have a chance to see her vision come to light.

Amal is a Lebanese-British lawyer who specializes in international law and human rights. She will personally handpick a winner on an annual basis.

Amal Clooney Honoured To Celebrate Female Future Leaders

“I am honored to have been invited by Prince’s Trust International to participate in this global initiative celebrating young women who are change-makers in their communities,” Amal said, according to The Prince’s Trust. “It is a privilege to be able to play a part in a project that will draw attention to incredible young women who are the future leaders of our world.”

The award is open to females between the ages of 11 and 30. It is also open to those who have and have not been beneficiaries of The Prince’s Trust Group in the past.

It’s without a doubt that George Clooney is feeling very proud of his wife these days. What’s more, we have a feeling that we might be seeing more of Amal and Meghan Markle together in the future.
