Since when did the royal family start having a problem with them? Even though Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have done a very good job of keeping out of the scandalous headlines, there’s a new report that suggests the royal family wants to keep the York sisters along with their father, Prince Andrew, away from the spotlight.
Apparently, they are being punished for the lone fact that they are associated with the disgraced royal by birth. That doesn’t sound very fair, now does it? Here’s what you need to know.
The Royal Family Have An Axe To Grind With Princess Eugenie And Princess Beatrice
According to GB News, royal biographer Andrew Lownie says that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice really don’t have a dog in this fight here.
Because their father Prince Andrew has become a disgrace and their mother Sarah Ferguson “continues to generate unfortunate headlines,” the senior royals just want the York family to go away once and for all – even if that means Eugenie and Beatrice have to get the boot as well.
Lownie put it this way, “The Firm need more working royals but the daughters are young mothers and have careers. Eugenie spends much time in Portugal so not ideal,” while also adding, “There’s a hope the York family, in general, will stay under the radar… Their mother [ Sarah Ferguson ] continues to generate unfortunate headlines.”
Why Are Eugenie And Beatrice Being Targeted?
Lownie thinks that if Eugenie and Beatrice continue to get invites to royal events, then it would look odd for Sarah and Andrew not to be there. And as of right now, Prince Andrew has become persona non grata at all royal functions.
Lownie added: “The family see him as an embarrassment but he has never been one to be pushed around. Self-awareness is not one of his qualities.” So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter.
