This Is Prince Charles’ Real Leading Royal Lady

Prince Charles might have had a lot of leading ladies in his life, including his ex-wife Princess Diana and his current wife Camilla Parker-Bowles, but apparently there’s one person out there that holds a very special place in his heart. And no, it’s not who you think, either.

Prince Charles Has A Special Place In His Heart For Zara Tindall

According to The Sun, the 70-year-old royal has made it no secret that he has a very special relationship with his 38-year-old niece, Zara Tindall. As a matter of fact, the two always look so happy to see one another whenever they are out and about during their royal engagements. Charles truly loves to spend time with Zara the most out of anyone else in the royal family.

Royal expert Rob Jobson told The Sun in an interview, “Zara is blood family. He has known her since she was a baby so it is far closer than say his relationships with his daughter-in-laws. Charles is closest to his sister Anne of all his siblings and has always been very supportive and affectionate towards his niece.”

Prince Charles Might Have Named Zara At Birth

It’s also been reported that Prince Charles might have named Zara after she was born. When Princess Anne was looking for recommendations for possible baby names, Charles was the first person to come up with the name Zara and Charles stuck with it.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall attended the World Premiere of the James Bond film Skyfall in 2012.

Editor in Chief of Majesty magazine Ingrid Seward added, “Perhaps he does see her as the daughter he never had, but I don’t think they see that much of each other, which he is always so pleased to be in her company. I think Charles loves Zara as she is such a decent girl without any pretensions – he does like blondes, but I don’t think that has anything to do with it! She is like Camilla in the sense that she can always see the positive side of life and has a great sense of humor.”

And while there’s no doubt that Prince Charles has good relationships with both Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, it’s great to see that he’s also very close with Zara Tindall. Perhaps he really does feel as though Zara is the daughter that he never had. How sweet!
