American Idol judges Katy Perry and Lionel Richie are flying out to the UK for the coronation of King Charles III. There, they will perform at a concert on May 7. Despite some missing big names like Robbie Williams and Elton John, there will be some good music from people like Andrew Lloyd Weber and the two judges from the ABC show,
American Idol – Katy Perry Recently Got Roasted
Recently, Katy got a lot of heat from fans because she seems to be cutting and sometimes nasty to contestants on the ABC show, One example is when she used contestant Wé Ani’s round to vent about the elimination of Elijah McCormick. Additionally, she has been slammed for making a huge drama about a fly on the set. And, she embarrassed another contestant as well. Anyway, she is going to the coronation, which also seems to be a bit unpopular,
The American Idol judge might enjoy her trip with Lionel Riche to the coronation, However, word on social media is that hundreds of thousands of people are not happy with King Charles. While Katy quipped on not knowing how to address him, lots of people simply don’t want him as monarch. In particular, they complain about him adulterating the Church of England with other religious readings. Plus, they got all hot under the collar over King Charles wanting folks to chant “May the King live forever,” instead of “God Save The King.”
The American Idol – Stand-In Judges
According to ET, “Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran will serve as guest judges on Sunday, May 7, alongside Luke Bryan, while Perry and Richie fulfill their duties,” If you don’t know Katy Perry was invited to the coronation because she is an ambassador on of the royal’s projects that focuses on child trafficking. Additionally, she’s also an ambassador with UNICEF.
American Idol fans who follow TV events on royal occasions might be able to see Lionel and Katy perform at the coronation concert next Sunday. Interestingly, Ed Sheeran turned down an invite to perform, claiming he has a prior concert date. Anyway, he will be available for the ACB show! In fact, fans will see some of the cast on the show singing some of his own songs. Plus he and Alanis Morissette will also perform.
Alanis Morissette – Will Be A Mentor
The temporary American Idol judge, Alanis Morissette is set to “be a mentor to the remaining Idol hopefuls, who will be performing her songs live on stage.”

I think Kelly Clarkson would be a great addition to the judges. She was the first American idol. She is honest and a great singer. She will tell it like it is. Kelly is my number one idol ever.
