Sumit reinforced that he entered the arranged marriage thinking about his parents’ happiness, rather than his own. Sahna admitted that they’d made a mistake and didn’t know his wife was the wrong choice.

Sumit became enraged asking, “Then, why don’t you help me! I had to take the first step! In those two and a half years I stopped sharing my feelings with my parents.”

Anil said the mistake was his own, as he was responsible for encouraging Sumit to marry. He told Sumit that they would try their best to consider his request to support the relationship with Jenny.

Sumit then sat aside from his mother and hugged her.

Anil told the producers and the audience that he didn’t want to see his son in pain and wanted him to be happy. He didn’t commit to an answer about marrying Jenny but said that time will tell.
