Julie Chen Moonves – Drops Major Hint?

Long-running Big Brother host Julie Chen Moonves dropped a major hint about her future with the show. Season 25 of the CBS reality TV competition will premiere on August 2 at 8 p.m. ET. Julie has been a part of the franchise since its first season. She spoke to Entertainment Weekly about hosting the popular series.

The outlet asked Julie whether she could host the show for another 24 seasons. She admitted that she would step down from her position as host. She pointed them out in the interview. Julie joked that she would be too old to host at one point.

“I look at my joints. I look at, ‘How do my hips and my knees feel this morning?'” Julie Chen said with a laugh. “I like to take one season at a time. Going into Season 25, I’m like, ‘I never want it to end. I think there would have to be a few things, like if I feel like the public is getting tired of me or the show is not what I want it to be.”

However, she doesn’t feel herself leaving anytime soon. As long as the show’s executive producers Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan are involved. The report noted that if Julie were to leave her position, it would be a mutual feeling that she and the show made. She’ll know when the time has come.

“I think you know when it’s time to go, whether as a show or me as a host, and I just don’t see the signs of that right now,” Julie added. “But you just never know.”

Julie Chen Moonves – Feels Lucky With Big Brother Gig

During the interview, Julie Chen talked about her time on Big Brother. She admitted that hosting a television series is not as hard as it was at the beginning of her career. She made her start on CBS’ The Early Show. Julie recalls traveling between the east coast and the west coast in the early days of her career.

Julie also ended up co-hosting The Talk from 2010 to 2018. She left when multiple allegations about her husband, Les Moonves, surfaced. Julie changed her name from Julie Chen to Julie Chen Moonves. She is happy to have one gig where she films multiple times per week and can stay in one location.
