Chicago Med Spoilers – Paula Newsome Dishes A ‘Spider-Man’ Confession
The excitement over “Spider-Man: No Way Home” proves that audiences remain invested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And actress Paula Newsome just made a very unexpected confession to Essence about her role in the film.
“I wasn’t really a Marvel person growing up. It just wasn’t my jam,” admitted Paula. But her days of lacking interest in the MCU world are over. Newsome can’t stop gushing about her delight in starring in “Spider-Man: No Way Home” with Jamie Foxx and Zendaya.

The fabulous three’s applications to M.I.T get denied admission. But as Spider-Man fans know, Peter never gives up. He seeks out Newsome’s character to persuade her to re-consider. Of course Parker tracks her down… and we won’t ruin the film by continuing!
So what does Paula say about her role? “Doing it was really fun and dangerous,” shared Newsome. “I got to be part of an amazing sequence and I know people will love it.”

For months, Paula worked closely with one of Los Angeles’ leading criminalists. That expert took the actress through every aspect of her day, from loading up her car trunk to preparation before going to a crime scene. “She told me what she carried to the crime scene, how she prepped her day. She told me how long she was going to be at a crime scene.”
And in an unusual twist, the criminal specialist even acted as if Newsome’s own house had become a crime scene. “She went across the threshold from the door, and she told me how she bent over and looked at the floor. She mentioned that she was always looking at the at the ceiling for blood spatter . . . she told me just so many things,” revealed the actress.
