Chris Noth seemed to have it all, from a happy marriage to a successful acting career. And then came the scandal. Only days prior to Christmas, Noth faced sexual assault allegations. Two women came forward to describe the alleged abuse, soon followed by three more.
And the hits to the actor who played Mr. Big on “Sex And The City” quickly followed. The scandal allegedly impacted every aspect of Noth’s life, from his relationship with his wife to his acting opportunities. As a result, the scandal has taken its toll. And the actor’s friends told Page Six exactly why they fear for his future. Get the details below.
Chris Noth Pals Worry About Scandal Reaction, Including Drinking
Just prior to the scandal, Noth celebrated the premiere of the “Sex And The City” spin-off, “And Just Like That,” with cast members. Chris, Cynthia Nixon, Sarah Jessica Parker, Nathen Garson, and Kristin Davis gathered to celebrate the spin-off debut. But now, in the wake of sexual assault allegations, Noth allegedly got cut from the final scenes of that spin-off.
And the career hits don’t end there. Noth also got dropped from the CBS show, “The Equalizer.” As a result, Noth’s friends worry about his reaction. But one insider claims that his drinking has added to his problems.
“Chris honestly feels like his life is over,” shared the source. “I think that drinking has played a big role in his problems. Everything is taking a toll. His friends would like him to get some help.” But other insiders denied that Noth has gotten drunk during filming or abuses alcohol.
Chris Noth To Exit Public Spotlight Amid Scandal?
Despite denials from insiders about Chris Noth drinking on set, actress Zoe Lister Jones painted a very different picture. Zoe alleged that Noth behaved in a “consistently sexually inappropriate with a fellow female promoter” at New York City club Plumm. In addition, Lister Jones claimed that Chris drank on set during their filming of “Law & Order” on NBC.

“During my interrogation scene he had a 22 oz. of beer under the table that he would drink in between takes,” recalled the actress. “In one take he got close to me, sniffed my neck, and whispered, ‘You smell good.’ I didn’t say anything. My friend at the club never said anything. It’s so rare that we do.”
Insiders claim that Noth may need to exit the public spotlight at this point. But the actor has consistently denied all the sexual assault allegations. “The story is a complete fabrication, and the alleged accounts detailed throughout read like a piece of bad fiction,” stated Noth’s spokesperson. “Chris has no option now but to step away from the public eye for a good long while and try to rehabilitate himself,” insisted one insider.
However, his marriage to Tara Wilson also has allegedly gotten impacted. “The problem is that even if Chris did not do what these woman said he did, he still had some kind of sexual encounter with them and he cheated on Tara,” pointed out one insider. “That is hard to come to terms with. At the moment, they’re still together. They’re trying to work things out.”
