Grand Tour, which features famous Top Gear drivers James May, Jeremy Clarkson, and Richard Hammond, will return with a special on Amazon Prime soon. And it’s not the only time that will happen. Other specials are also scheduled. Read on for more information.

The Finale Was Not The Finale?

If you love Jeremy’s dry humor, you might have felt sad when  The Grand Tour dropped its finale episode on September 13. The spectacular scenery of Zimbabwe boosted tourism in the region, and Jeremy said that he “saved the best for last.”

Petrol heads and those who enjoy the often dangerous driving conditions on the show will, no doubt, be happy to hear that Amazon confirms more comes in the form of specials. And, according to the Swindon Advertiser, the first one drops on April 18. They will showcase the “Best moments of the series.”

The Specials Are Staggered

The first special for the motoring show arrives this month and is titled, “The Not Very Grand Tour: The Power and the Glory.” There’s not a lot of detail on that one. However, while you will see Jeremy Clarkson, you will not see him host the show.

Apparently, the series is put together by James May and  Richard Hammond. The show will bring back old footage that you saw before, however, it has been mixed up and changed in the way it’s presented. Possibly, some behind-the-scenes stuff will emerge.

The Other Three Specials

The outlet noted that one of them is titled “The Grand-ish Tour: A Trip Down Memory Lane.” However, you might only get to see it on Prime Video in 2026. The synopsis for that one says:

[See] the trio celebrating epic driving moments in California, Morocco, Colorado and Scandinavia, wince at the misery brought on by water and mud, remind Jeremy of his mechanical incompetence, and enjoy an excellent montage of each other falling over.

One that might arrive later this year is Hammond and May’s “The Power and the Glory .” It looks back at exciting footage highlighting the internal combustion engine, including hypercar comparisons, “Detroit’s” muscle car scene, “a Bugatti” urban sprint, an outlandish “tank,” and a race across automotive history.

Why Is Jeremy Absent?

It’s not clear why Clarkson isn’t part of the hosting, other than he was “busy.” Well, possibly, he was busy filming on Diddly Squat for Clarkson’s Farm. Or, he was busy with his new mission. Recently, he’s become quite active protesting on behalf of British farmers who lament the passing of smaller landholders.
