To transform his life, Julian has developed a two-part plan. First, Valentine prepares to move to Houston so he can be near Dr. Younan Nowzaradan and his bariatric surgery practice. And second, the My 600-Lb Life star feels ready to do whatever it takes to qualify for weight loss surgery.
But even as Julian, his wife Irma, and her brother Alejandro travel from Arizona to Texas, their trailer’s axel breaks. That trailer contains all of the trio’s most important belongings. Stranded on the side of a highway, the group hits a low point.

For Julian, the irony of having the car breakdown on the way to his achieving his goals seems clear. “Just one more bad thing to pile on me now, when I’m trying to do right, and do all that I can to get better,” says the frustrated My 600-Lb Life star.
But the situation only gets more challenging as Julian and Irma must decide which possession to take and which ones to abandon. And at his weight, Julian must remain mostly in the minivan rather than help sort out items like punching bags and art work.

The drama of My 600-Lb Life heightens as Julian hears a tornado warning. But while the My 600-Lb Life star focuses on returning to their travels, he and Irma began bickering about what to keep.
However, Julian strikes a positive note in this insight: “My stress level is just high right now, and I’ll be honest — if I had food I’d probably be eating right now. But I don’t, so my focus is on just figuring all this out,” he admitted.
