Supernatural star Jared Padalecki has been in a car accident, with his costar Jensen Ackles quoted as saying the actor is fine. After Ackles gave Supernatural fans an update, social media lit up with well-wishes for the actor.

According to The Sun, Ackles told a group of fans, “I don’t know if you guys know what’s going on. He went on to say that his costar, “was in a very bad car accident.” According to Ackles, Padalecki was a passenger in the car at the time of the accident. The crowd was reportedly stunned by the news, unaware that the crash involving Padalecki had transpired.

Before he broke the news to the fans, Ackles told them that Padalecki had given him permission to share the information.

Ackles went on to say of Padalecki, “He’s lucky to be alive, and not only that, he’s home recovering. The fact that he’s not in the hospital right now is blowing my mind.”

According to the outlet, Ackles, “confirmed there were no fatalities in the crash and that Padalecki is moving around and will be back very soon.”

The news then spread quickly and social media is full of get-well wishes for the handsome and talented star.

Jensen Ackles Has Sad News

The hashtags #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki and #GetWellSoonJared trended on Twitter and fans expressed their thoughts for the actor.

One fan tweeted, “you mean so much to me and to so many other people. thank you for sharing your beautiful soul with the world. sending you so much love #WeLoveYouJaredPadalecki,” while another tweeted, “I hope everything is okay with you @jarpad.”

Supernatural ran for 15 seasons and Padalecki and Ackles portrayed brothers Sam and Dean Winchester in the CW series. In the show, the brothers made it their business to hunt down supernatural beings such as ghosts, demons, and monsters.
