The View Spoilers: Whoopi Goldberg Teases Hiatus
Whoopi Goldberg admitted she had no time for Jennifer Lopez‘s concert. She will miss out on the event due to her work schedule.
The panelists discussed the possibility of doing a dance routine for Jennifer when she returns to The View. Executive producer Brian Teta came up with the idea.
He told the co-hosts to “start rehearsing now,” since the performer would return to the talk show before her summer tour. Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin were open to the idea.
Ana Navarro said she refused to dance. She doesn’t want to be the one who’s dancing. She would rather watch J.Lo perform.
Sara Haines said she’s interested in attending the concert with moderator Whoopi Goldberg. Brian asked: “Whoopi in?” She shut him down, saying: “I’m not here. Remember, I’m working. You know what I’m doing.”
The comedian teased that she was going on hiatus from the daytime talk show. Her break allows her to focus on her other business ventures.
Whoopi is working on a new memoir titled Bits and Pieces: My Mother, My Brother, and Me, which is set for release on May 7, 2024.
The View: New Details On Whoopi Goldberg’s Memoir
The book is a follow-up to Whoopi Goldberg’s previous releases — Is It Just Me? Or Is It Nuts Out There? and Two Old Broads: Stuff You Need to Know That You Didn’t Know You Needed to Know.
Blackstone Publishing is the publishing agent behind her latest book, which talks about her life, career, and family. However, Whoopi claims that it’s semi-autobiographical.
“This book is dedicated to my mother and my brother and our time together as a small, funny little unit. It’s dedicated to anyone who’s found themselves on a scary path, not of their choosing or dealing with loss,” Whoopi said in a statement to People. “This book is dedicated to everyone who is just trying to figure out the small stuff as well as the stuff where you have to be more than you thought you could be and it’s dedicated to love.”
The Oscar winner will recall the life of her mother, Emma Harris, who passed away in 2010, and her brother, Clyde K. Johnson, who died in 2015. Whoopi will also talk about her early days in the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City.
