Tom Hiddleston has been teasing his big return to television. He shared a photo of himself alongside the entire Loki team. The Avengers star is ready to take on the role of Loki Odinson in his new television series Loki, which will cover his exploits in an alternate 2012 version of the character that was featured in this year’s Avengers: Endgame. Fans are excited to learn that their favorite character is returning. This time, he’s featured on a show that will feature him front and center.

To celebrate the upcoming production, Hiddleston took to Instagram to share a photo of himself alongside the team that will help bring Loki to the Disney+ streaming service soon. Hiddleston tagged Kate Herron and Kevin Wright in the group photo.

Wright will serve as the core director, according to a report via Heroic Hollywood. Wright was previously an associate producer on Ant-Man and the Wasp and will now be the supervising producer for Loki.

It’s not clear who else will be joining Hiddleston on the television series. Loki is a new series that’s expected to follow the character as he travels through time and gets involved in some major historical events. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige confirmed that the show will be connected to the Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. In addition, Marvel Studios is working on a wide variety of series for Disney+, including Hawkeye, Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, and WandaVision.

But since Hiddleston is getting his own series on Disney’s new streaming service, he could get replaced. Rumors have been swirling that’s what Marvel intends on doing, according to InsidetheMagic.com. Marvel wants to introduce Kid Loki in the new series, according to sources from We Got This Covered. Kid Loki could also appear on Thor: Love and Thunder. If this happens, then Loki will stay in kid form, which means he’ll remain a child and could replace Hiddleston’s Loki. However, it’s not clear what the future holds for Hiddleston’s Loki in the MCU. All that we know is that pre-production is underway.

Loki is expected to make its debut in early 2021. Are you excited to see Avengers star Tom Hiddleston reprise his role of Loki in the new television series? What are your thoughts on his character being replaced? Sound off below in the comments section.
