The Young And The Restless: Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle)CBS The Young and the Restless spoilers and updates for the week of August 17-21, tease that we’re in for a lot of action on the CBS soap. First off, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will have a big plan to run by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). Jack will be totally on board, and later in the week, Victoria will make some big announcement about some changes at Newman Enterprises as she takes center stage at a press conference and shocks Genoa City with what she has to say.

Meanwhile, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be on the same page when it comes to Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Victor and Chelsea will both be of the mind that Adam needs to leave what’s in the past right where it belongs – in the past. Chelsea will be horrified to learn that Adam and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are planning on delving into Adam’s repressed memories of killing AJ Montalvo.

Chelsea Lawson Questions Sharon Newman’s Decision To Help Adam Newman

It seems that Chelsea will have words with Sharon about the plan to get Adam to remember his past, but as Adam’s therapist, Sharon probably won’t be in a position to talk with Chelsea about the process or even about what Adam is remembering, assuming that Sharon’s techniques are successful. Nevertheless, Y&R spoilers say that Chelsea will demand answers from Sharon, so it looks like trouble’s brewing there.

Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will also find himself worried about the situation between Adam and Sharon. Rey’s very protective of Sharon right now, given that Sharon is still recovering from her surgery, and he’s probably not going to be happy when Adam comes around and wants Sharon’s help. Rey trusts Sharon, but he doesn’t at all trust Adam, and Y&R spoilers say that Rey will be suspicious about Adam’s motives.

Abby Newman Offers Chance Chancellor A Word Of Caution

Other Y&R spoilers indicate that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) will be dismayed to learn about Chance Chancellor’s (Donny Boaz) strong and ongoing feelings of friendship for Adam. Chance will find himself concerned about Adam when Adam doesn’t return his messages. Chance will want to make sure that his buddy is ok after being ousted as the CEO of Newman Enterprises, and Abby will try to tell Chance that Adam is just the same old Adam.

Elsewhere, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) will end up calling a truce. This could be related to Dina Mergeron (Marla Adams) – perhaps Kyle and Theo will decide that they need to be on civil terms since Theo will be visiting with Dina and necessarily be encountering Kyle in the process. Kyle and Theo won’t want a repeat of their shouting match in front of Dina that occurred a while back.

Phyllis Summers Relishes In Her Exciting New Venture

Next, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will somehow inspire Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) with her mysterious new venture. Phyllis will have some big plan involving the Grand Phoenix, and she’ll offer Abby some cryptic details about what that might be. Later in the week, Abby will go snooping for information on what that new venture is, so perhaps Y&R viewers will get some answers, too.

Over with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), he’ll encourage Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) to take a risk, which could be related to their work together at Chancellor Communications. Also, Victor will ask a Newman family member to choose sides while Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott gets an intriguing offer from someone.

Jack Abbott & Traci Abbott Take A Walk Down Memory Lane

Meanwhile, Jack and Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) will delve into a Y&R mystery. They’ve recently discovered some evidence that Dina may have some more secrets buried in the past, so it looks like they’ll do some reminiscing about their childhood and look into the past for answers. This may involve some old home movies, and it looks like Y&R viewers will see some scenes with a young Dina Abbott (Cathy Marks) and a young John Abbott (Jonathan Stoddard) to perhaps explain things.

Finally, Nick will have some words for Kyle, perhaps about not hurting Summer Newman (Hunter King) again. Nick has asked Summer to accept his relationship with Phyllis, yet Nick isn’t exactly on board with Summer’s romance with Kyle, so this could be a sticky situation. At any rate, Kyle will be put on notice by Nick while Theo ends up charming Lola Rosales (Sasha Calle) big time, so we might see some sparks fly there.
