The Young and the Restless Alum Jason Canela Lands Exciting New Project

Jason Canela, known for his role as Arturo Rosales on “The Young and the Restless,” has been cast in “Adventures of Kim & Kay.” The series centers on a little girl and a Super Bowl champion whose destinies entwine after discovering a magic board game. Other cast members include Anja Ambrosio Mazur, Kayvon Webster, Julio Macias, Leli Hernandez, and JenCarlos Canela.

Canela, who will be voicing one of the characters, and his co-star Webster, are working with production company Stratostorm in the developing the upcoming kid-friendly 2D animation series. He also announced the project on Twitter and described it as “about helping today’s youth see their value!

We are ALL so SPECIAL and extremely capable of achieving whatever it is we set out to do! the secret to making it happen is BELIEVING IN YOURSELF %”. Further details about the show are yet to be announced.

Canela recently ended his stint as Arturo Rosales in The Young and the Restless after joining the show in February 2018. It was revealed that he had only signed a one year contract, which led to his recent departure from the soap. Here’s what he said about his exit.

Add to that the incredible people I’ve had the pleasure of working with who I’ve been lucky enough to create genuine relationships with like Peter Bergman (Jack), Melissa Ordway (Abby), Jordi Vilasuso (Rey), Sasha Calle (Lola), and Naomi Gonzales (Mia) just to name a few (sorry guys, but Peter is my favorite) I feel blessed to have been a part of something so special like the Y&R family.”
