The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers for Monday, November 5: Rey Gets Bad News About JT, Phyllis And Nick’s Hot Hook-up

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) begins with Billy (Jason Thompson) and Kyle (Michael Mealor) meeting with new Jabot CEO, Phyllis (Gina Tognoni); who reminds them she is in charge and things will revolve around her and her schedule. Nick (Joshua Morrow) meets with his mom, Nikki (Meoldy Thomas Scott) informing her that he is going to respect Sharon’s (Sharon Case) wishes. She accidentally reveals she saw Sharon on Halloween.

Nikki Gives Nick A Pep-Talk

Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes) are surprised Lola (Sasha Calle) is bringing Kyle upstairs to Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) place without him knowing. Nikki tells Nick she needs to meet with Arturo to give him a check; but Nick wants to know about her conversation with Sharon. She reminds him that he has a wonderful new path in his life that he needs to embrace and move on, and sometimes there are one too many paths that have been crossed and things are over. She promises him he will get through this.

Sharon mocks Rey about cops eating donuts and suggests Lola bring her food truck there twice a week for some real food. He invites Sharon to come over for dinner to try out Lola’s cooking and Sharon accepts.

Arturo (Jason Canela) calls Nikki saying they are making progress and things will be done by tomorrow. As he walks away from the scene, JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) watch is laying in the dirt. Rey informs Lola that he invited Sharon to come and test her food and he also will be coming; Lola tries to make excuses and quickly messages Kyle to try to get out of it. Mariah pulls Sharon aside, asking her what kind of message she is sending Rey.

Phyllis Wants To Fire Kyle

Phyllis shows Kyle and Billy her new marketing strategy and wants new campaigns by the morning, saying they have a long night, telling Kyle to cancel his plans. She reminds them that they made a commitment and have to get this out for the holiday season; Billy says they can start at the crack of dawn.

Kyle refuses to cancel on her and leaves the office and Phyllis says she should fire him for that Billy says it would make sense since she doesn’t know what love is and it would look great for PR, firing one of the last standing Abbotts.

Sharon Puts Distance Between Her And Rey

Sharon promises that she made definite boundaries with Rey as he is still married. Mariah can’t help but wonder if Rey wasn’t married if Sharon would be interested in the guy who was digging into her life a week ago. Sharon finds Rey and cancels, saying their deal was to keep everything professional; he agrees.

Rey tells Lola that both him and Sharon are going back to work, so she is on her own. Sharon finds the pumpkin that Tessa got with the “I love you” carved in it and she is happy for Mariah.

Billy barges in wanting bourbon, but Sharon gives him strong coffee. She tells him he is very brave dealing with his gambling addiction and he didn’t lose everything and is in a better place. He made a choice and has his decency. She calls him decent and brave and he will just have to live with it; he smiles saying no one has called him that.

Nikki Pays Arturo

Phyllis calls Summer (Hunter King), hoping she could lure her back to the office with some fast food; but clearly she is lonely. She looks at her phone and Billy’s number; she makes a call offering burger and fries. Meanwhile, Nikki asks Arturo if there were any surprises or problems she didn’t know about, but he feels she already knows the answer to that. Nikki hands Arturo the check and walks right past the watch in the dirt as she leaves the park.

Sharon And Billy Commiserate

Sharon sits with Billy who shares how Phyllis is running Jabot and is willing to give Sharon miserable company as they love to complain about Phyllis. He asks her why she is putting up with her regarding the charity thing and why she hasn’t walked away. Phyllis arrives at Dark Horse with burgers for Nick, who is happy to see her.

Lola lets Kyle in, as she is just finishing up. Kyle wonders about the messages, thinking he was getting dumped but she explains briefly what happened. He gives her an apron that says “Kiss the Cook” and just as they are kissing, Rey walks in. He doesn’t need an introduction as she knows Kyle as the kid who digs up graves.

Rey Busts Lola And Kyle

Rey tells Lola that he lives there and Kyle tells Rey he did dig up the grave because he thought he was helping someone out. Lola wanted to wait for Rey to meet Kyle; Kyle offers to leave since it is his place but in the end he agrees to hang out with Kyle as Lola creates in the kitchen.

Nick and Phyllis enjoy their burgers. She mocks Nick, joking his place is a real dump; but he is impressed with her landing in the big chair as Jabot. She feels she can handle anything that will be tosses her way. He isn’t terrified with what she has done because she has the goods to back it up; both feeling they need to get their troops to work a little harder.

Sharon and Billy continue to rant about Phyllis and how they gave her the benefit of the doubt. He doesn’t understand her little band with Nikki, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and Phyllis. Sharon admits she is not a saint, reminding him that she made her share of mistakes, including one with him; but now she looks back at her life and understands why she has made some of the mistakes she has made and is a different person.

Nick And Phyllis Kiss

Phyllis and Nick talk about Sharon, where Phyllis calls Sharon a hypocrite because she blames Nick for becoming the man he is today. He’s always wanted his independence from his father and he is a force to be reckoned with and there is better than that. If he wants something he should grab it; Nick comes from behind the desk and grabs Phyllis, kissing her roughly. They begin to undress and he thinks they shouldn’t do this because he respects her too much, she agrees saying she really need the hang time with him and next time the burgers on him.

Rey questions Kyle all about his life, family and jobs. Kyle says he loves spicy food, so Rey asks Lola for one of the spiciest peppers she has and he takes a bite of it. He takes a drink of water and Lola brings the milk over. Kyle says he will do the dishes, begging Lola to not let him pass out in front of her brother; Rey gets a call from the GCPD Chief.

Mariah and Tessa continue to talk about their love and future. Billy and Sharon talk about having their own little “Broken Heart” Society. Rey interrupts them and Sharon asks what is wrong? He tells her, “JT Hellstrom!”

Kyle wonders what Rey’s call was all about; he also confesses that the pepper didn’t bother him at all. She says Rey may tolerate him now, but she is afraid to kiss him, so it’s a win- lose! He tells her that he has to leave as he has to be in the office early tomorrow. She gives him a kiss, but then kisses his cheek as he leaves.

Phyllis gets on the elevator but Nick carries her back to his office and lays her on his desk; there is no stopping these two now!

Rey Gets Bad News About JT

Rey informs Sharon that the Commission wants to shut down the Hellstrom investigation. Sharon is surprised but Billy is furious because of what JT did to Victoria. Back at Chancellor Park, Arturo finds the watch, which has the engraving “Love Mac” on the back, just as Rey says the case is closed unless he can find JT in the next week.
