The Young and the Restless Day Ahead Spoilers Wednesday, November 14: Tessa Drops A Bomb On Mariah, Rey Suspicious Of Victoria

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) begins with Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) waking up to his wife, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez) making him breakfast for his hangover. Mia reveals she went to see Sharon (Sharon Case) at the coffeehouse, while he was drinking and got distracted by her.

Mariah Devastated By Tessa Drama

Meanwhile, Sharon comforts Mariah (Camryn Grimes) at home, who doesn’t want to talk about what happened between her and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks).

Sharon answers the door to Kyle (Michael Mealor), who came to check on Mariah after learning she moved back home. Kyle teases her, but Mariah reveals that Tessa can’t be honest with her, feeling they wouldn’t work out either; Kyle feels they have to learn to give people more than one chance. Kyle sarcastically tells her to stay in her pjs and give up on love altogether.

Victoria (Amelia Heinle) is with Michael (Christian LeBlanc) at the GCPD, reminding her to stay calm and not answer anything more than asked. Mia kisses Rey, who says he needs to go as people are waiting for him at work. She apologizes when he pushes her off and rushes out the door; she smirks as he leaves.

Kyle arrives at Jabot, running into Billy (Jason Thompson). Billy questions Kyle about being against Jaboutiques and he admits he initially felt it was an impulsive move. Billy worries that all the Abbotts are going to look like “has beens” after tonight.

Devon Gives Mariah Advice

Mariah goes to see Devon (Bryton James), informing him about her and Tessa. She admits that Tessa doesn’t tell the truth, but she feels that Tessa is a good person. She turns to Devon because of the way he forgave Hilary (Mishael Morgan), wanting to know how he knew to be with her and whether she should pack up and let go. Mariah feels she was insensitive for bringing up Hilary, but Devon likes talking about Hilary.

He can’t logically explain why they belonged together, but when he fully accepted who she was, she stopped hiding who she was; people use the tools they had when they were growing up. He suggests Mariah give Tessa some space and there is nothing about love that is cut and dry. His advice is to not waste any time but to love Tessa with a full open heart and find the bright spots in all her flaws and let Tessa know she is there no matter what. Simply love her for who she is.

Sharon finds Victoria and Michael, who have been waiting for Rey whose 20 minutes late for their meeting about JT (Thad Luckinbill). Rey arrives, and brings them into a private room sees Sharon, but doesn’t say a word.

Abby Meets Mia

Mia goes to Crimson Lights, where she runs into Abby (Melissa Ordway), recognizing her lipstick and saying she did Phyllis’ (Gina Tognoni) make up the other day; Mia realizes she is Abby Newman the “Naked Heiress” and follows her. She wants to take a selfie with her, sharing with her friends. Arturo (Jason Canela) walks in, while Abby waits for her “fan” to return from a call; when she comes back, Arturo reveals she is Rey’s wife and Abby hugs her.

Arturo advises Mia not to make any plans because it seems as soon as Rey’s case is solved he could be headed back to Florida and take Mia with him; it sure seems like Arturo doesn’t want her there and definitely doesn’t want Abby anywhere near her. Abby reveals Rey’s case just got started, changing from a missing person’s case to a murder investigation.

Mariah calls Sharon, asking if she can get someone to cover Tessa’s shift so she can talk to Tessa. Michael tells Rey this is a waste of time as he has already questioned Victoria. Rey wants to know how Victoria knows they didn’t recover JT’s body. She acts like she had no idea as Sharon watches from outside the room. Michael intercedes and Rey advises Victoria they are done but if she plans on leaving town, she needs to let the police know. Once Rey leaves, Michael questions Victoria if there is something he needs to know.

Abby talks about being with Arturo and their trip to Miami. He says that he made sure Mia was out of town when they went. Abby suggests they should go on a double date with Rey and Mia, saying the two of them should join them for the Jaboutique launch party happening later that night.

Mariah goes to Tessa’s apartment and tells her she loves her, understanding that Tessa’s had a hard life but they have been through so much. She demands that Tessa tell her the truth and they can get through this. Tessa reveals someone did something they regret and she was paid to be quiet.

Tessa Tells Mariah She Got The Money From Nikki

Tessa promises she never meant to hurt anyone but admits that she was involved with Noah (Robert Adamson) because it would be easy to marry a Newman and simply drift apart and have all the money, but she fell in love with Mariah and screwed it all up. Tessa reveals that Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) gave her the money and that is all she can say.

Billy informs Kyle the chef Phyllis hired for the launch has pulled out, but Kyle says he will handle it. Victoria meets Sharon at Crimson, saying she messed up because she didn’t ask Rey about the body, like any normal person would; they change their conversation when Mia walks in. Mia tells Sharon that her leaving the GCPD early makes her “smarter than she looks” but Sharon tells her there is always tomorrow.

Mia Taunts Arturo

Arturo orders Mia to stop with her games and suggests she go back to Miami since Rey has pretty much ended their marriage and they have all moved on without her. She taunts him, implying she will drink a little too much and reveal too much to her new bestie.

Kyle meets Lola (Sasha Calle) at the elevator, who is bringing the lunch to the Jabot office. Kyle informs her that he recommended her as the new caterer for the party tonight and she will be the talk of the town. She thanks him for believing in her as he tells her that tonight her dreams come true.

Mariah Baffled By Tessa’s Confession

Mariah continues to question Tessa what Nikki as done to keep her quiet. Tessa says she did it to keep her sister safe and for Mariah, ignorance is bliss. Mariah is concerned that she will be in danger if Victor (Eric Braeden) finds out that she has Nikki’s money but Tessa reveals she is actually blackmailing Nikki. Mariah demands to know what she has on Nikki.

Billy asks Sharon if she will join him at a film festival, as he doesn’t want to go to the Jabot event; feeling it should have been a night about him and the limelight won’t be about him. Sharon feels it is unfair that Phyllis will take credit for his idea and Jaboutique is genius but when he reveals Nick (Joshua Morrow) is going as Phyllis’ guest. Billy says the only way he is going is with Sharon and he doesn’t want to put her in the middle of that disaster. Sharon agrees and says she would like to kick up her feet and watch a couple movies. After Mia comes in and insults Sharon about her looks, she stops Billy as he is leaving and says they are going to the event.

Lola is busy cooking in the kitchen when Mia walks in asking Lola if she has a home to go to. Lola bites back, asking her the same thing. Mia says that Rey is her home; but Lola says Rey has a new home and nobody invited her. Lola tells Mia that neither Rey nor Arturo want her there and both are too polite to tell her that. Lola orders her to back off and to leave them all alone, as she isn’t going to get what she wants from them; Mia says she doesn’t know what Lola is talking about.

Victoria Is On Rey’s Radar

Rey sees Sharon at the coffeehouse wondering why she left the precinct early. Sharon insists that Victoria has nothing to do with JT’s death and Rey questions if it is possible Victoria did it, even if it was self defense; they are interrupted when Mia walks in, calling Rey “my man.” Rey says he is in the middle of something important but Mia pulls him away.

Tessa Throws Sharon Under The Bus

Tessa says she is not the only one close to Mariah keeping secrets from her, telling her to asks her mom; revealing the money Nikki gave her wasn’t only to protect her and if she knew what she knew, she’d never look at Sharon the same. Mariah says she will ask Sharon or Nikki if Tessa won’t tell her. Tessa opens her laptop, and Mariah demands to see what Tessa has on them.
