The Young And The Restless Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) have been a super couple for years. Victor and Nikki get together, tear their relationship apart and still always reunite. These two have had a love story for the ages. However, they cannot seem to keep things together and stay the course. It seems that they are both afraid to be happy and content with one another.

Although Nikki and Victor always find their way back together, they do a great deal of harm when they choose to split up. Spitefulness and revenge are often a part of their breakups. Although they have a huge following, their tendency to hurt each other gives them honorable mention but also keeps them from being the couple of the year.

The Young and The Restless’ Nick Newman (Josh Morrow) and Chelsea Lawson Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) are an amazing couple when his brother Adam isn’t coming between them. Nick and Chelsea have chemistry, they have passion, they have love. However, Chelsea has a child with Adam and that creates a problem. As their child needs his mother to help to heal, a wedge is driving between Chelsea and Nick.

The question with this couple is, Is love enough? It is very difficult to come between a mother and her child. Nick doesn’t want to keep Chelsea from her child at all. However, Nick also doesn’t want to give the woman he loves to his brother. Chelsea and Nick have what it takes to make it in the long haul if they can keep others out of their relationship. However, the indecision caused by others keeps them from being our couple of the year.

These two are the exception to the rule when it comes to the Abbotts and the Newmans because the two families have been rivals for years.
