The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease that Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will discover Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) has been keeping secrets from her in an upcoming episode of The Young and The Restless!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Is Only Trying To Protect His Wife

Chance and Abby have been through the mill of stress in the last couple of weeks on The Young and The Restless. First Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) wanted to change their arrangements so he could spend more time with baby Dominic Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) and now the baby is sick, and has had to have a bone marrow aspiration!

There has been a lot of confusion with Chance and Abby thinking Devon had wanted full custody when all he was to Dominic was a sperm donor, with Devon way overstepping the bounds! Chance secretly felt that Devon was blaming him, and his continuing problems with post-traumatic stress disorder symptoms upon returning from his mission in Spain. Chance has been trying to hide his symptoms from Abby to protect her from even more stress, but she knows he’s having nightmares.

Y&R Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Recently Had A Flashback While On Surveillance With Rey Rosales – And It Bugs Him

Fans will recall from a recent episode of The Young and The Restless that Chance had decided to give it a try going on a surveillance detail with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) who will be his partner at the GCPD. The GCPD has been very generous in giving Chance time to readjust to life after returning from the mission, where he was presumed dead, and where he was the only survivor of his team.

Poor Chance, he not only suffers survivors’ guilt but also isn’t sure if he’s up to the job of being a detective and investigating; he recently suffered a flashback when he heard some gunshots when he was out with Rey. No one was hurt but it bugs him that the flashback caused him to freeze up and if Rey had needed him for backup, he wouldn’t have been able to respond appropriately! Viewers of The Young and The Restless will recall he didn’t tell Rey and he certainly didn’t tell Abby back at home!

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor Needs Help With His PTSD But He Won’t Seek It Out

Chance needs help with his PTSD, but he is too proud to seek it out; but he cannot keep it a secret from Abby for very much longer. The stress with Dominic’s possible prognosis is putting both Chance and Abby nearly to the edge, and Chance keeps trying to play hero by keeping things to himself and trying to hide his panic attacks, one of which he’d suffered on the stakeout with Rey.

Abby already knows he is having nightmares but he’s really minimizing how badly things are bothering him, and help would be so close if only he’d seek it out – one of Sharon Rosales’ (Sharon Case) ex-husbands was a war veteran, and he suffered from it. Chief Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) is Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton) father, and he went into witness protection. Viewers of The Young and The Restless may see Chance have a panic attack in front of Abby and try to deny it; that will make her even more worried about everything in their life!
