The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) learns that her mother, Naya Benedict (Ptosha Storey), had a stroke. Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) is asked to speak in Hawaii. That trends toward both ladies briefly leaving town, meaning their guys are left to their own devices.
This scenario would not be cause for concern if Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) was not physically attacked by Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) in the past, and a flashback scene was not recently shown. But Devon did punch Nate, causing his fall and loss of ability to perform surgery.

Devoted viewers recall that Elena’s fall preceded Nate’s. Her fall was not physical but emotional.
Elena was in what appeared to be a committed relationship with Devon when Nate began pursuing her. While initially rebuffed, his intentions were eventually matched during a heated night at the clinic.
That New Hope setting was seemingly created to enable Elena to switch loyalties from Devon to Nate, and has not been shown in many months. It served to establish that Devon was not the love of Elena’s life or vice versa, with his attraction to Amanda later admitted.
Y&R Spoilers – Devon Hamilton Has No Current Beef
Devon came to be with a woman he loves more than Elena. He acknowledged the initial basis of his attraction to Amanda was tied to the haunting memory of his deceased soul mate and her identical twin, Hilary Hamilton (Morgan).
But Devon and Amanda have formed a bond that is separate from what he and Hilary shared. So, James’ character has no beef regarding Nate stealing the love of his life because Elena was not that.
Yet, Devon does not trust Nate. Building tension regarding Nate’s unapproved podcast tell at the merger launch press conference reinforced that all still is not well between the cousins.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings Influenced By Admirer
Imani Benedict (Leigh-Ann Rose) was instantly drawn to Nate when she first saw him. Her surface attraction developed into a constant stream of compliments.
The Chancellor-Winters merger places Imani in Nate’s business path, which bothers Elena. So, Elena’s trip will leave Nate vulnerable to Imani’s increasing pressure.
Meanwhile, Amanda’s need to be with her mother will leave Devon alone. So, hopefully, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) can keep the peace between her brother and their cousin on Y&R until Amanda and Elena return to Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Amanda is leaving town because she is very pregnant so the visit to mother is just that. As for Imani I do not like this character she is not attractive and as for her constant "little girl attraction" for Nate and following him around like a love sick puppy everywhere he is or goes is annoying and the writers should be ashamed of themselves as to what they are or have done to Elena.
I'm not particularly fond of Imani either. She isn't attractive, but she is a sneaky one. Her constant play for someone who is already "taken" is immature and evil. Grow up or kick her off the show. She really isn't a necessary character.
Why the storyline with Imani, she's a horrible actress and she's a phony. Nate needs to pull it in and stop acting like he's so superior. Of course, I can say the same for Devon, what makes him so superior. Stop with this terrible storyline, it's stupid. Nate was born to be a doctor, put him back where he belongs. Being a doctor was his life, not trying to compete with Devon. Why does everyone have to sleep around.
