The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Ashland Plants Adam’s Frame – Proves He’s A Scoundrel

The Young And The Restless: Ashland Locke (Robert Newman)The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) entrance into the office that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) shares with his father was purposeful. The intent is to frame Victoria Newman Locke’s (Amelia Heinle) brother.

Victoria is a master chess player, like Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). She successfully conned Ashland into believing that she bought his victim excuse.

This storyline appears to be leading toward Victoria baiting Ashland into exposing that he was lying about cancer. While it may be reasonable to wait for conclusive, hard evidence, Ashland’s latest actions mark him as guilty.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Victor Newman Signals To Son

Victor recently announced that Adam would be Newman-Locke’s interim Chief Executive Officer. That delighted Grossman’s character, who believes that Victoria is fully responsible for allowing a snake to slither into the family business.

The merger deal that she embraced and pushed has resulted in Ashland being legally tied to the former Newman Enterprises, now known as Newman-Locke. Victor is not publicly stating that he agrees with Adam’s assessment, but the Moustache’s actions indicate as much.

Victor was impressed with the details Adam offered about projected business plans. Combining the merged company’s streaming resources into an intended powerhouse and the connected real estate purchase angle earned Victor’s go-ahead, which implies Adam is not just a temporary place-holder.

Y&R Spoilers – Victoria Newman Locke Also Dealing With Younger Brother

Victoria has distrusted Adam since he looked like Chris Engen (Adam). He was the adult actor who originally portrayed the SORAS’d (soap opera rapid aging syndrome) character in 2008. Her current distaste (with Grossman now embodying the role) has led to her using Adam as a plausible fall guy.

Ashland is buying the pitch, especially with Victoria’s recent tell about Adam trying to frame her for giving Victoria bad medicine. So, he went in search of Adam’s laptop, knowing that the Newman Media offices would be vacant.

The above was a bit of a stretch, as Ashland risked being spotted by someone like Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and arrived with latex gloves in his pockets. Ideally, Victoria’s efforts will restore her father’s faith in her and possibly unearth some unknown, legitimate digital dirt about Adam.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Ashland Locke Can Not Win?

Would TPTB have hired someone with Newman’s pedigree to be a short-term player? Maybe. It could be that he only wanted to work for a limited period.

At this point in the plot, Ashland appears to be doomed. Assuming Victoria’s plan works and he is exposed, there would not be much runway left for this character.

Of course, Ashland could leave town, be targeted for take-down, be arrested, or face some other ending fate. Victoria wants to rid him from her life, as do the Newman’s, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc), and others. So, this villain’s run could be over in the relatively near future on Y&R.

Adam and hopefully soon, this story is dragging on too long now. Would have been more entertaining and exciting if it moved on quicker and got to the point. This Ashland is an attractive older man but doesn't fit as a believable love interest for Victoria, so this doesn't have a solid foundation to build a believable love of my life story for Victoria.
