The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers tease that Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) may be right about her mother’s motives to marry Tucker McCall (Trevor St John). Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) is consumed with hatred for Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). Ashley feels justified for hating Diane so intensely. She blames her for Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) behavior and cannot understand how he can forgive Diane for all her schemes but deems Phyllis Summers’s (Michelle Stafford) actions unforgivable.

Jack fell in love with Diane despite her horrible past. He knew what Diane was capable of and decided to give her a second chance. Abby cannot understand her mother’s hatred for Diane, considering she’s giving Tucker another chance despite his past, just as her Uncle Jack is doing for Diane.

Ashley’s anger toward Diane seems overly dramatic. She doesn’t have to like Diane, but to set out to destroy her appears over the top. Diane and Jack married during the week of July 24, so her schemes to run her out of town failed.

Diane has always been in love with Jack. It doesn’t make sense that she would destroy his family’s company, considering that would infuriate Jack and end her marriage.

Ashley believes Diane is up to something shady, but honestly, Diane seems to have changed her life for the better.

The only reason Diane resorted to scheming with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) is to block Ashley’s Jabot grab. She wants to protect Jack’s company and position. She doesn’t seem to want to take it for herself.

Abby is not convinced that her mother is in love with Tucker. She sees moments that look like love between them, but it’s not consistent. She wonders if her mother is using Tucker to help her destroy Diane.
