Longtime viewers will recall that Chelsea gave up Johnny, her biological son with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) as a baby. Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), when she and Billy were together, adopted him. This was in spite of Billy having slept with Chelsea while married to Victoria – which is how Johnny was conceived.

Chelsea had been hired by Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to break up “Billy Boy” and Victoria. She actually drugged him so Billy’s night with Chelsea was not with his consent or even desire. So when Chelsea went into the ChancComm office after years, not ever wanting anything to do with Johnny and asked Billy for time with him, Billy gave a hard pass! Chelsea, however, told Billy she was not giving up. Circumstances were different when she gave up Johnny.

She had no desire for a child and Victoria wanted a child. It worked out. But now, Chelsea has a bad case of empty nest syndrome! She had just sent Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) off to boarding school, to protect him from the scandal – which is Billy’s fault mostly – resulting from the exposé of Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). This has affected the entire Newman family, and Billy did not do any edits of Alyssa Montalvo’s (Maria DiDomenico) story – meaning Faith Newman, (Alyvia Allyn Lind) is being bullied. Billy’s own niece – and all he cares about is taking down Adam and Victor!

Y&R Spoilers – Chelsea “Loses” Connor Because Of Billy

Chelsea “loses” Connor because of Billy, and also because of Victoria – Victoria is also consumed with revenge against Adam, although she didn’t like Faith being in the story either! Of course, Chelsea hasn’t lost Connor forever, he’s just away at boarding school. But she wasn’t able to convince Adam to move out of town to where Connor is. Chelsea and Adam may not even last – he went to try to get Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) back when he saw her at Crimson Lights. She turned him down and said his past actions regarding Faith – basically a baby swap – made her think about him in a different light. Sure, she lived through that time but time has made her see it with different eyes.

Adam started to return home to his penthouse, but turned around and left. Staying with Adam would definitely put a crimp in Chelsea regaining custody of Johnny, but there is just enough mix of empty nest and revenge in Chelsea. It is a good bet that Chelsea will take Adam and Victoria to court to try to get Johnny back, but she’ll figure out a way for him to get to know her first. The last thing Chelsea would do is anything that could emotionally harm her child!
