As viewers recall, Adam left Genoa City, Wisconsin, in the recent past, intending never to return. He deemed himself a threat to others, believing Victor died after he double-dosed his father’s medicine.

Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) spun out of control during Adam’s brief return trip to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he planned to have Riza Thomas (Tina Casciani) reestablish his professional poker player credentials. Chadam’s son climbed to the top of a jungle gym and threw himself off, believing that he was invincible.

Adam’s return led to Connor’s recovery, Chick’s breakup, and Chadam’s restoration in short order.

But Adam’s alter ego didn’t simply buy Chance a few drinks after a poker game. Instead, he intervened when a target was trying to kill Boaz’s character. Adam got involved, needed to defend himself, and this never-seen character ended up dead.

That man has a widow, who still doesn’t know that her husband is gone. Y&R spoilers and updates reveal she believes he’s in a Witness Protection Program and that the monthly payments she receives are connected to that matter.

Jail time probably wouldn’t result from the Kansas incident, as Adam was a boy, and self-defense is a plausible explanation. But covering up the killing in Vegas leaves Adam very vulnerable, which Chelsea will conclude the moment she learns all.
