The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) went to visit Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) at the detention center in Oregon. Claire expressed regret, which was believable. Then, Claire went a bit overboard venting about Jordan (Colleen Zenk) brainwashing an innocent child. It seemed a bit too much too soon, so is this a sign that Claire is coming up with both an insanity legal defense as well as targeting the Newmans from another angle?

Y&R spoilers reveal that Claire is now sitting in a detention center waiting for her arraignment.

Victoria and Cole decided to visit Claire. Victoria and Cole wanted answers about Jordan’s claim regarding Claire being Baby Eve Howard.

Claire specifically asked Victoria and Cole if she agreed to answer their questions, if they would actually help her.

After a long pause, Victoria gulped and said it would be taken under consideration. If Claire is really as bright as Victoria thinks she is, then she’s already playing her next card.

Right now, Victoria is desperate to know if Jordan’s story is true about Claire. Victoria also shows empathy and an unexplainable connection to Claire.

Victoria might almost feel as if she’s being pulled toward Claire. It is quite interesting as Victoria is usually ice cold.

While they say displaying emotions isn’t a weakness, it does make one vulnerable. If Claire was truly groomed since the age of 5 to be a Newman-niched psychopath, then she will use these emotions to her advantage without batting an eyelash.

The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that Claire might really be Victoria and Cole’s daughter. However, that doesn’t erase all those years of programming in Claire’s mind.

Even though Claire vented to Cole and Victoria about how vile and evil Jordan was to brainwash an innocent child, it sounded way too quick.

With that amount and length of brainwashing, Claire might come to some revelations… but it won’t be this much this soon.

It sounds like Claire knows her best chance at still having a life is setting up an insanity defense

. In fact, this could be part of Jordan and Claire’s ultimate plan all along. Perhaps Claire’s revelation and redemption are all part of Jordan’s end game.

As for Claire, once she gets that DNA test, she could once again target the Newman family…but from a much closer angle.

It is teased that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will battle Victoria over allowing Claire into her life. So, it sounds like this isn’t the end but just the beginning.
