The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Diane Turns Down Jack’s Proposal, Leaves Him Heartbroken?

The Young and the Restless spoilers show that Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will be taken to the Abbott cabin by Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), primarily so they can easily elude Jeremy Stark (James Hyde).

But Jack also wants this to be a special getaway for the two of them, so he’ll make time to spoil Diane while they’re gone. Jack’s heart has truly been won over by Diane, and he will continue to grow more infatuated with her.

Sadly, Jack won’t be aware that Diane is hiding yet another detail from him. Jeremy is seeking retribution, so he will take care to keep a close eye on Diane this time. Diane will ultimately receive some unsettling text updates from Jeremy, but she won’t inform Jack.

In order to taunt Diane and attempt to frighten her, Jeremy will message her to let her know that he knows where she is. Diane will undoubtedly believe that she has already caused Jack enough drama. Diane doesn’t seem to want to disrupt the peace or make Jack feel like he needs to defend her any more than he already has.

Jack won’t be aware of how dangerous things are getting, but he will be aware of what he desires his future to look like. Jack will therefore present Diane with an engagement band and propose to her. After Jack asks her to marry him, Diane will experience a wave of conflicting feelings.

The new Diane will have to give Jack’s proposal some serious consideration, whereas the old Diane would have said yes in a heartbeat. Diane will worry that Jack will behave inappropriately for her benefit and end up in a variety of dangerous situations. Diane’s response to the marriage proposition will ultimately be greatly influenced by her feelings of guilt and dread.

When they learn about Diane’s answer later, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), and Jack are all apparently taken aback. If Jack thought Diane would turn down his band, he wouldn’t be asking. Similarly, Ashley and Phyllis would never imagine Diane passing up such a once-in-a-lifetime chance. It appears that Diane will originally reject Jack due to the fact that her response to his proposal will be so shocking.

The preparations for Jack and Diane’s wedding may be derailed, but perhaps he will try to wear her down eventually.
