The Young and the Restless: Eric Braden (Victor Newman)The current coronavirus pandemic is affecting persons worldwide in so many different ways. Persons are restricted and limited in dealing with persons face or face. Thousands of persons have died and have been infected with the virus. Because of the virus, some persons are no longer working. Soap stars are now home with free time due to the pause in production to protect others from becoming infected with the COVID-19.

Actors’ salaries have been affected as well. In fact, in response to a fan on Twitter, outspoken Eric Braeden who stars on The Young and the Restless as Victor Newman told a fan about the salaries. Replying to the fan, he stated, “I certainly understand the desire to go back to work! Btw, all of our salaries were cut off as of MARCH 17! Some are alright, but many are in bad shape because if it!! Don’t ASSUME everyone who works in the industry gets paid millions! That’s BS!!

Actors are dying to get back to work and reunite with their colleagues. It also would make ends meet as clearly some are out of salaries. It is important to be paid as bills are being paid, food expenses are to be covered, family needs are to be met and so much more.

He further responded to another fan stating, “TRUST ME, I HAVE SEEN IT ALL IN LIFE AND GREW UP WITHOUT OFTEN KNOWING WHERE THE NEXT MEAL WAS COMING FROM.. if at all!! SO, DO I HAVE EMPATHY? MORE THAN YOU KNOW! Do I want them to be supported by our government? YOU BET!! But I see through the bs of a MITCH Mc CONNELL!!!”

Braeden has often been outspoken on Twitter. He does not hesitate to speak his mind and make his stans noticeably clear. His followers are accustomed to it hence they do not waste time contacting him to hear his thoughts on things.

We are not sure when this pandemic will end. But we are so sorry to hear that some actors are out of salaries. We hope the shows will find a way to go back to production very soon.
