The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Marco Annicelli (Peter Bergman’s secondary character) ranked with Y&R’s most memorable villains in the 2010’s. The secondary character Bergman portrayed was last seen in 2015, with Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers) then playing the part of Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) aggrieved wife.

Devoted viewers know that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) was responsible for finding and bringing the doppelganger to Genoa City, Wisconsin. The Moustache facilitated Marco’s exit from a Peruvian prison, where the drug lord was serving time for having murdered his wife.

Marco assumed Jack’s identity as part of a scheme to fold the Abbott’s cosmetics business into Victor’s conglomerate. The resulting company was called Newman-Abbott, with the horror Phyllis endured and Jack’s hostage hold by Kelly Andrews (Cady McClain) being viewed as acceptable collateral damage by Victor.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – One Ear Returns For Vengeance

The production shutdown is allowing enough time for the show’s writing staff to be especially creative. Comebacks have long been a daytime staple. So, why not bring One Ear back?

Marco’s nickname (One Ear) is used because that’s what Victor’s enforcers left him with when he was last seen being taken back to Peru in a helicopter. Braeden’s character wanted to ensure that the look-a-like wouldn’t be able to fool anyone if he ever managed to return to GC.

If Marco does seek revenge he’ll need to do so through an act of surprise, rather than by visual deception.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Michelle Stafford Enables New Twist

Tognoni performed solidly as Phyllis during her stay on the steamer. She earned a 2017 Daytime Emmy Award, which affirmed her efforts were stellar.

Michelle Stafford’s (Phyllis) surprise return to the cast last year opened a wide range of plot possibilities. Specifically focusing on Marco, fans can consider a tantalizing number of ways that Phyllis could apply payback.

As for the disfigured criminal, Marco liked Phyllis. It’s Victor that he would seek reprisal against, which leads to an intriguing option.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Enemies Combine To Save Jack Abbott

Victor and Jack actually arrived at a new place in their relationship, if that’s what it can be called. They were speaking to each other in a respectful manner within the last number of months and had generally agreed to leave old battles buried.

Phyllis is with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) now, but Jack will always hold a place in her heart. Phyllis would do anything to save Bergman’s character if he’s threatened by a returned Marco, including working with Victor.
