The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Genoa City, Wisconsin Friday, December 18, tease that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will see Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) at Crimson Lights. Elena will ask about how Nate’s second hand surgery went. Unfortunately, the news will be grim, and Nate will be almost certainly unable to perform surgery again.
Nate will think that he should be alone for the night, but Elena will take him to her apartment, where she’ll coax him to talk about what he’s feeling. Nate will admit to not knowing who he’s supposed to be if he’s not a surgeon. Elena (Brytni Sarpy) will think that perhaps Nate (Sean Dominic) will get a Christmas miracle, and Nate will think that maybe he’ll find a new path in life.
The Young And The Restless Spoiler Insights
Next on Y&R, Nate will have an idea for some first steps toward his new path. Nate will notice that Elena and Lola Rosales’ (Sasha Calle) Christmas tree is bare, and he’ll send out for some ornaments to be delivered by courier. Nate will decorate the tree and smile. Elena will say that it’s good to see Nate smiling.
Meanwhile, over at the police station, Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will sit in his jail cell, while over at the Grand Phoenix, Alyssa Montalvo (Maria DiDomenico) will pace and worry. Alyssa will want to flee the room, but she’ll find a police officer guarding the room, so she’ll be stuck.
Victor Newman Gives Michael Baldwin His Marching Orders
In a conference room at the police station, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will get a call from Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), who will ask Michael to make sure that Billy goes down for what he did. Michael will say that his job is to make sure that justice is served. Soon, Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) will arrive and tell Michael about the new evidence against Alyssa, including the shooting gloves in her room. Michael will lament that their star witness lied to them.
Over at the Chancellor mansion, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) and Abby Newman-Abbott-Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) will be canoodling around the Christmas tree when Rey stops by to ask Chance some questions about his past interactions with Alyssa. Abby will eavesdrop on the conversation, learning that Alyssa might be the shooter.
Victoria Newman Interrupts A Private Conversation
Next on Y&R, Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will impatiently wait for word on Rey’s investigation into Alyssa. Soon, the ladies will be talking about Lily’s feelings for Billy. Amanda will press the issue, and ultimately Lily will admit that there’s a relationship there…just as Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) walks in the room. Victoria will be unsettled by that, and she’ll ask some questions about the case, but then Michael will call Amanda, and she’ll rush over to the police station.
Over at the Grand Phoenix, Rey will walk into Alyssa’s room and promptly arrest her for trying to shoot Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) but shooting Chance instead. Meanwhile, Billy will be taken from his cell to the conference room where he’ll join Michael and Amanda. Michael will tell Billy that the charges against him are being dropped and he’ll apologize for pursuing charges against Billy.
A short time later, Rey will talk with Michael in the conference room, and he’ll say that Alyssa was asking for a lawyer, and that she expressed remorse for setting Billy up, but not for trying to shoot Adam. Michael will say that Rey did a great job, and Rey will credit Lily for finding the evidence against Alyssa.
Chance Chancellor Gets Some Great News
Back at the Chancellor mansion, Chance will get a notification saying that Billy has been exonerated and that Alyssa was arrested. Abby will pretend to be surprised, and Chance will tell her that he knows that she eavesdropped before. Chance will place a video call to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton), to tell her about Billy being released. Jill and Chance will talk a bit about how married life is going for Chance and Abby, and Jill will hear all about their honeymoon.
Afterwards, Abby will seem emotional, and she’ll say that she realizes for the first time how scared she was that Billy might have been the person who shot Chance. Chance and Abby will have a nice conversation about how they can get through anything together, and how they have a life to build and can rely on each other.
Victoria Newman Seems Jealous Of Lily Winters
Next on Y&R, at Society, Billy and Amanda will arrive and join Victoria and Lily. Victoria will learn about how Alyssa was the real shooter, and Billy will gush about how Lily went above and beyond to get him exonerated. Victoria will notice the closeness between Billy and Lily throughout this exchange, and she’ll be unhappy about the whole thing, looking jealous.
Finally, on Friday’s new episode of Y&R, Michael will meet with Victor at Crimson Lights. Michael will relay that Alyssa was the shooter, and that she was trying to avenge her father’s death. Victor will be surprised and a little put off by the whole thing. Michael will say that surely Victor didn’t want Billy to go to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Victor will say, “If you say so.”
It looks like we’re in for a great episode on Friday! Stay tuned to the CBS soap and don’t forget to check Celebrating The Soaps often for the latest Young and the Restless spoilers, updates, and news.

I am pleased the Billy jail because of this vengeance on Adam has quickly came to an end. It's getting to old. I am far more interested in Victoria and Lilly starting a rivalry. Starting it initially because of their feelings for Billy. However I would like it the Billy thing just to be just the initial spark. Move them quickly on from it just being about man jealousy and deepen it into deeper underlying resentments over the years. Billy should be just the spark to start a bigger fire otherwise the story just becomes another Sharon and Phyllis story. This bitch fight could get really big creating a rift between Devon and Victor. Jack in the middle trying to keep GC leading families from a corporate war dividing these city families could be a big story, many characters getting pulled into the skirmish and thankfully moving on from this neverending we all hate Adam boring story. I am hopeful writers and looking forward to what might happen next here.
