The Young and the Restless spoilers say that after going back and forth several times, it looks like Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) has decided that Summer Newman (Hunter King) is the woman that he wants to spend the rest of his life with – and that’s when he decides to propose to her. In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, Hunter King, who plays the beautiful blonde Summer on the hit CBS soap, told the publication, “Instead of just putting her ring away, Summer can’t help herself. She’s so enamored with Kyle that she has to have the ring close to her, so she decides to wear it on a chain around her neck.”
The Young and the Restless spoilers say that one the next day, Summer shows up at the Grand Phoenix to spend a little time with her mother, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Of course, Phyllis immediately asks if her ring is of the engagement kind when Summer reluctantly confirms it. Needless to say, Phyllis slightly loses her mind. After all, they have been down this road too many times before.
Hunter adds, “She doesn’t want to call her daughter dumb, but Phyllis thinks this is the stupidest thing that Summer could ever do. Phyllis tries to be somewhat supportive so as not to drive her daughter away, but Phyllis is just shocked and even horrified that Summer and Kyle are engaged before he’s even officially divorced.”

However, Phyllis calms down and agrees to respect Summer’s decision, even though it’s quite hard to swallow. Needless to say, there is going to be a lot of resistance on all fronts, including the Abbott and the Newman families. YR writers trying to create drama for summer and kyle reunion about engagement and a wedding everyone know is going to fail is terrible writing .The writers had 5 months and his is best you come up with is really sad for Y&R. Summer and kyle is good as friends and they have good friendship chemistry. The great love story the writers want tell about Kyle and summer is waste for fans because we do not believe it. Their relationship has been too problematic. 1. kyle and summer taught they were brother/ sister and sometimes give that vibe in their interactions.2 summer bet kyle she can sleep with his uncle and if they were true love would not kyle be jealous. etc Kyle with Lola was best love story in years and they destroy it because people at CBS & YR writers feel guilty it was not about sky. kola is what most viewers want to see and whether is small amount or not that is my in opinion. The kola rewrite story was lie because their was no evidence on screen to support the writers claim he was in love with summer when he was married to his wife. All the audience saw was summer pinning for Kyle and not the other way around , How he woke up one morning and tell his wife he still have feelings for summer. Kyle cannot keep secret and he never pull away from Lola during marriage period. The writing was just bad .
