Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) is his own worst enemy on ‘The Young and the Restless’ and Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson) knows it. That fiery personality point is sparking a lot more than tension for ‘Kola’. In fact, what Kyle is doing could eventually force him and Lola Abbott (Sasha Calle) to split.
Theo is playing the long game. So is Summer Newman (Hunter King), even though she’s convinced herself that’s not true and told her mother the same.
Lola previously admitted to Kyle that her relationship experience is less voluminous than his. However, Kyle’s romantic pursuits were never deep until he saw Lola working her food truck in the shadow of Jabot. His initiative and her acceptance served to create a young couple that offers hope to the viewers and hopefully continues to do so.
Young And The Restless Spoilers – Phyllis Summers Encourages Trouble
No news was broken in the above section header. What it intends to point out is the insidious nature of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). Summer is her daughter. So she has that genetic element as part of her being, which viewers understand.
Summer was given bad advice by Phyllis before she departed on her Jabot business trip with Kyle. Summer was spurned to follow through because she’s vulnerable and due to the fact that she still loves Kyle.
Y&R Spoilers – A Kiss Goodbye, Or Hello?
Kyle doesn’t seem interested in a ‘Skyle’ revival right now. But his raw emotions will change if Lola and Theo become involved.
Summer’s trip kiss is predictable, based on this pair’s history and Phyllis’ push. But a renewal for this one-time couple isn’t immediately in the daytime cards. However, hardcore soaps fans know that the proximity Y&R wrote Mealor and King’s characters into was intended to create conflict.
Johnson’s alter ego continues to provoke his cousin by constantly interacting with Lola. His uncle, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), just warned him about doing so. Included in the admonishment was the awareness of Kyle’s behavior toward Theo as well.

Young And The Restless Spoilers – Lola Abbott Increasingly Frustrated
Lola is naturally frustrated because Kyle seemingly believes that his wife isn’t strong enough to reject Theo’s pursuit. Some of Mr. Abbott’s beliefs appear to reflect insecurity, which Lola will hopefully remain patient in addressing.
It would be nice if Y&R allows this very likable couple to stay together indefinitely. Let them have a child this year, meaning that the pregnancy would occur shortly. And, a storyline where paternity comes into question is easily projected and therefore wouldn’t be interesting.
‘Kola’ has and should continue to represent a bright spot in Genoa City, Wisconsin. Not all relationships have to be dysfunctional, as that overly challenges believability.

yes, the sooner the better
I was a fan of Koa in the beginning but now they have become quite boring nd I actually think that Theo and Lola would make a fabulous love story…they remind me so much of bad boy Roger Thorpe and sweet Holly from Guiding Light! Of course, Theo is not quite as bad as Roger! Now speaking of the character of Roger Thorpe…wouldn’t we all love to see this type of writing on our soaps again! Those were the days where we couldn’t get enough of that raw passion!
