As for Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi), he’s been tagged as the villain. But should he carry that burden alone if Tara cheated on him with Kyle and they had a son that Ashland was led to believe is his own? In one word, no.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Such A Ruthless Guy

Ashland could have been written toward surrender. If Burgi’s character was a push-over he would be upset, but then would quickly forgive Tara and go along with whatever shared custody arrangement she and Kyle make.

However, Burgi’s character has been presented as a stereotypical ruthless business man. Apparently all the employees at Cyaxares and all others who work for everyone else in the soap world have no ability to earn a living except by doing so for the Ashland’s and Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) of the world. Yes, the benefits of fiction are fully subjective.

In terms of daytime reality, Ashland told one of his minions to get as much intel on Jabot as possible. He plans to hit Kyle hard after challenging him on the Tara affair and pretending to accept the answer Mealor’s character offered.

Y&R Spoilers – Kyle Abbot And Tara Locke Are Parents

Harrison Locke (no actor known to play this role) is Kyle and Tara’s child. Ashland’s one dimension was briefly broadened as he exhibited a smile and a heartbeat, saying that having a child changed everything.

Kyle and Tara share full responsibility for the free will actions they took in New York. That was during the time Kyle and his then shallow friend, Theo Vanderway (Tyler Johnson), later revealed as his cousin, ran the streets.

Of course, all who paint Ashland as the villain will justify Tara’s choice as likely being justifiable. That take would be gleaned from Ashland’s apparent, indiscreet dinner offer to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Sally Spectra Changes Course

An easy way for Sally to redeem herself would be if she throws in with Skyle against Ashland. Hope’s electric character could serve as a distraction for Tara’s husband or employ her creative morality in some other dramatic way, while Leiner’s character, Kyle and Summer team up to confront Ashland about Harrison’s paternity.

Kyle needs a confirmed test result and must tell his father, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), the whole story. If that happens and Ashland is also implicated in the developing Richard Nealon (no actor known to be cast for this retro role) murder storyline, then all will be well. That would surely represent a soapy conclusion and one that would tie current loose ends into a bow.
