The Young and the Restless Spoilers Monday, December 23: Faith Returns Home – Chance Reveals His Intentions To Adam – Michael and Paul Argue

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Monday, December 23rd indicate that Faith Newman (Alyvia Alyn Lind) returns home, Chance Chancellor (Donny Boaz) tells Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) he’s staying in town, and dinner ends in an argument between Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) and Paul Williams (Doug Davidson).

Faith Newman’s homecoming

Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) is at Crimson Lights hanging Christmas decorations with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) help. Faith enters the coffee shop with Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and asks for hot chocolate. Sharon hugs her daughter and says she’s happy to have her home.

Faith jokes that with all the traveling she needs sleep. Summer Newman (Hunter King) comes in to greet her sister and tell Faith she looks good. Summer and Mariah take Faith out to the patio for a sister chat about a boy Faith has a crush on. Faith talks about the boy and shows a picture of him to his sisters. When she asks for advice, Summer tells Faith to just be herself and that will get the boy to like her.

Meanwhile, Sharon’s inside with Rey and says that she’s been thinking about Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) a lot. Rey asks does it have to do with the fact that he’s Adam’s son. She says that’s part of the reason, but she hopes to help Connor with better coping mechanisms. Sharon then tells Rey that she’s not going to put their relationship in jeopardy.

Faith is still outside with her sisters and thanks them for their advice. The trio hugs before Faith goes inside to talk with her mom. Mariah then asks Summer about work at Jabot. Summer suspects Mariah is inquiring about her and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Summer assures her that nothing’s going on with Kyle, she’s matured and moved on.

Back inside Sharon gives Faith another hug and says she’s the luckiest mom ever.

Y&R Spoilers – Phyllis Summers tries to make friends

At the Grand Phoenix, Amanda Sinclair (Mishel Morgan) drops a file off just as Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) appears. Amanda apologizes for turning down Phyllis’ request for a lawyer. Phyllis says she understands, then asks if Amanda wants to be friends. Amanda starts talking about staying in Genoa City, and Phyllis recommends living at the hotel.

Later Amanda and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) are playing a game of backgammon. Nate mentions he’s going to keep their friendship separate from his family. Amanda asks if she’s worth the effort, and Nate comments that time will tell. Nate talks about work and how the hospital decorations cheered the kids, then the two discuss holiday plans. Amanda says she’ll find something to occupy her evenings, and Nate asks if she’s seeing anyone. Amanda mentions going out with Phyllis for a girls’ night on the town. When Nate brings up seeing a gentleman, Amanda says no and keeps quiet about her friendship with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).

Young and The Restless Spoilers – Chance Chancellor tells Adam  Newman his intentions.

At Society, Chance tells Adam he’s staying in Genoa City. Chance says he knows Adam wants to forget what happened in Vegas. He then says he’s not asking Adam for permission to stay or to ask for forgiveness. They get briefly distracted by Paul and Michael but continue their conversation about Vegas. Adam thinks the distance will help him forget, but Chance says he’s staying in town. Phyllis arrives and watches Chance with Adam. Chance brings up Adam helping him out of a jam, and Adam responds that he doesn’t have to worry about Chance trying to bring him down.

Chance asks who’s trying to bring him down, then Chance notices Phyllis. She comes up to the men and warns Chance that before too long Adam will stab him in the back. Adam leaves, and Phyllis tells Chance she wants them to be friends and buys her new pal a drink. Chance isn’t buying Phyllis’ act and thinks she’s fishing for information to use against Adam. Phyllis wonders how to use the Vegas situation and asks Chance for more information about the jam he was in. Chance tells Phyllis to find someone else to bother, he’s not interested in her games.

Adam arrives at the penthouse and makes a phone call. He asks the caller if she’s getting the payments because silence is expensive and essential.

Michael and Paul’s argument

Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) and Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) arrive at Society excited about their get together. Paul and Michael join their wives, and the two men are arguing over a racquetball game. The men’s discussion then turns to a legal case Michael won’t prosecute. The food arrives and everyone at the table goes quiet as they eat. Michael complains the food’s spicy and Lauren jokes that the two men need to cool down. Michael and Paul make amends. The discussion then turns to Fen Baldwin (Zach Tinker), and Michael says his recovery is going well. The group then makes a toast.
